It's all hand sewn. Thought about doing it on the machine, but i can't manipulate the fabric to get the results, I was after.
Well, Steve truly enjoyed his ride, i was glad for that, he doesn't always make time to relax. Riding is his Escape. He and his buddy went to this off the road Shack store. This lady sells farm fresh eggs. People leave a couple of bucks per doz. He brought back 3 doz. OMG, they are soooo good. He made us eggs and bacon sandwiches.
It was so cold yesterday I decided it was time for a nice indoor fire! First one of the season! LOL, We brought in the Table and chairs from the deck and Played Poker until very late! That was a lot of fun. I even won a few hands! Pouting being a terrible gambler lost it all at the end. $5.00...Jake got mad because he lost to me, said it was oopid that he lost to someone who has to play with a cheat sheet!! LOL...
In the end Anthony won all, luck guy.
Best/Worse/what did I learn today? Visit with friends!!!
And, Look who came to visit me yesterday!
This little guy is Braedon, he is 6months old. He is one of "my" grands...
Remember Jenny, She is his Nanny now. His dad, is very young, only 17. I just love when they come for even a 2 minute visit.
Anyway, every time this lil one see's me He gives me the biggest smiles, just melts my heart!
LOL, nothing like avoidance...just giving my fingers a short break.
Anyway, last weekend, The kids invited me to go to the park with them.
Breenie, said i need to get away from the house, and it being such a nice day, i agreed.
Sabrina is in advanced photography this year. I love that..Here she is doing a photo shoot. She has 3 different type cameras.
She is creating an on-going portfolio that will be turned in for a grade. I really enjoyed watching her work.
Got to tell you it was so delightful watching my kids play!
The boys played football, The older ones stood around and chatted, and Breenie took photos.
She even took one of me hugging a mighty Oak! (don't have that one, it was taken with film, not digital.)
Jacob couldn't wait to Freak me out, lovely thought.
He walked across the top of these bars! and i wonder why I have gray hair!
LOL, came home and had beer.
And one last pic...
This is one of the shots She took, i took the same with my camera.
This is Julia and Aaron.
He is the one that fixed my tiller. His Son Bailey, is who I am doing the toddler blanket for.
Judy-that little guy is too cute!! And the curious George is great! I watched Marley and Me last weekend and cried BUCKETS-I used like 6 kleenex and was still all snotty:(
Betty-CONGRATS on the camper-that is awesome! I really like the little bit of color in the hummingbird pic-not too bright and really looks great.
Debbie-just today Jonathan was telling me he was ready for a little girlfriend:)

Yesterday Jonathan weighed in at 6lbs, 3.75oz, so he gained 1/2 oz. He took about 1/2 of his bottle at every feeding all night, did a tube at his 11am (the nurse started about 15mins early so he was tubed by the time we got there) because she couldn't get him to wake up. He woke up for his 2pm and took all of his bottle except about 18ml:) he makes the cutest little sighing and purring noises when he sleeps so I took a video of it and sent it to my mom-she loved it of course! He didn't poop while I was there, but boy did he have stinky farts-SIL and I were laughing our butts off at that:) Then afterwards, SIL drove my car to the detail place so it would be clean to install the baby seat and she went home right after that. Chris will install the seat today after we visit Little Buddy and will probably be lazy for the rest of his day off since he had to work like 14hrs on his Bday yest...
Judy, you have such a way with words, love you dearly! Always nice to see what your family is up to, and look at that little one, too adorable for words.
Funny how seeing handwritting, hearing music etc, brings our loved ones close at heart.
Is the park in your town Judy? Are the trees turning in your neck of the woods?
It's chilly here, wanted to go to town to pick up a mattress, dah, don't have to rush out and buy one, not like I'm going anywhere..did get my little trailer though, now to find a spot to hide it..lol
Put it up on my own so have to go outside and take it down before it gets dark or starts to rain.
Sittles looks as though he'll be content to use that birdhouse..
Back later

Jonathan was at 6lbs, 5oz yesterday-still growing so fast!! Chris and I got there and I fed him his 1st bottle-about 1/2 way through I put him on my shoulder to burp him and then asked the nurse to show me the knee method. After about 3 pats he farted (and pooped) so loud that the nurse heard it in the hallway and we all started laughing hysterically. I had to make sure to hold him tight so I didn't drop him I was laughing so freaking hard. I told Chris is was his turn to change the diaper and just as he was about to peel back the tapes, he farted loud again. We started laughing again and the nurse was down the hall and in another room and could hear us-she came down and said "he did it again didn't he" after we told her yes she laughed and then Chris got the diaper changed. He was wide awake and took the rest of his bottle. He took 2 full bottles during the night too:) After Chris and I got our cuddle time, Mom showed up with 2 of her friends and they all held him and thought he was fabulous of course;) The brought him 2 things of dragon socks-too cute, and a stuffed dragon that came with a star we can name after him. We thought that was really cool since that is what Chris got me for our 1st anv.:) Which our 9th anv is this fri:) Chris gave him a bath for the 1st time B4 his 2pm bottle and then we rubbed him down with lotion and got his redressed. He took 1/2 of his 2nd bottle for me (he was pooped from the visitors and the bath) and we had an episode where he was drinking his bottle and not breathing right, so we stopped with the bottle and put the rest of the milk through the tube. If he hadn't had that episode I know he would have eaten more, but the nurse was being cautious (she is my fave one we get a couple times a week usually). His little wee wee is looking so much better that it doesn't freak me out anymore-a couple more days and it will be haled over for the most part. The weekend Dr came in and said that is his progress keeps up, he might be able to come home by Friday:) What a great anv present that would be for the both of us!!
Now wouldn't that be something, being a family of 3 on your Anniversary, let's hope all goes well and he gets to come home! He's a gassyyy little Jonathan isn't he?
Well here I am at work, freezing, have the micro furnace on, knew I was coming down with something as when I went pee/pee, just what you wanted to hear, I couldn't stand the smell, remembered when my kidneys gave up it was much the same, kidney pulsating on my right side so called the doctor's office, he's only in between 3 and 4..she told me if I was there before 4 she's check and see if I've infection and the doctor could write me a prescription...
I'm sooo cold and feverish..might end up leaving early...
Oh Betty, sorry to hear your not feeling well. Very glad you called the doc right away. I hope a prescription will clear that away.
Wonder if this has been on going, you've said a couple of times before you were freezing, I thought it was just do to cold weather.
You better just snuggle up and get some good rest in. Sending you a Gentle Arm wrap Betty.
Thank you Stacey, Curious George has been fun to do. Awe, and about the lil guy too, he is cutie.
Well, Can you believe, i ended up working on Sunday! LOL, first, Steve came along holding 2 files. I know it's Sunday but can you do these bills? Sigh, OK...got those done, then Jake comes at 5 asking if I could wash his gym clothes, needed them for today! So interrupted my sewing. Then We had unexpected company! Was nice visit.
This morning Steve stayed home to do more paper work...He just left. While he was working, i decided it was time for the Sock Brigade!
LOL an entire bucket of socks, whew took all morning to sort all and match about half..Mondays are also my, on the run day, so not too much gets worked on...Now, back to sincere embroidery. Got to finish this one today and at least cut ant start the other, Goal is to have the entire blanket finished by Friday.
OMG, How exciting about Baby coming home on Friday!! Yep Best Anniversary Present, i am so so happy for you three! Hey happy Belated Birthday to Chris, was nice he got too see Baby. Yikes he sure works long hours...lolol about his um passing the ickies!! Well better he lets them out. Hahah, thought that was cute about him being a little pigpen from Charlie Brown...Did you get your car all detailed and Car seat installed, know that was on your list.
Well, it's a very chilly day today, only in the 60's. But the Sun is shining strong now, feels wonderful.
Waiving Hello everyone, you all must be busy, busy, threads been quiet. Hope you enjoy the day.
Back to sewing.
Oh, Betty, forgot to say...The park we went to is just down the street. Funny my kids didn't go there much when they were little.
They do spend alot more time there now though. Football, basketball and fields to play catch.
As far as the our trees, We are just now starting to get fall color in. Some of them have already dropped quite a few leaves.
I drive Julia to School, It's set in the woods, I am going to be bringing my camera with me soon, it will be beautiful with the Fall colors!
I am looking forward to that.
Oooohhhh Betty I'm glad you called the dr!
ANJL!!!! So glad to see you!!!! Love your pics!
Betty that scratch art is gorgeous, and CONGRATS on the trailer!! That's awesome!! Your welcome to camp on my lawn anytime you want!
Well didn't come on yesterday, had the big time lazy daisies. Went to get my hair done Saturday afternoon, my stupid "Service Engine Soon" light came on, took it to the shop this morning and after replacing the Injection Regulator Valve that cost $400.00 I got to come to work. BLAH!!
Dropping in for no more than a sec.
Saw the Dr.
Even though he sent my urine sample to the lab he said he knew my kidneys were badly infected..said you just have to look a the cloudiness and orange color, guess the fever and throbbing ache in my right kiney told the story...
Dropped my car off to get a hitch, Greg/Melanie picked me up took me home and it's been to bed ever since. One of them will pick up the car either tomorrow or Wednesday..paid for the work seeing I've an extra key they can pick it up when in the area.
Suppose to stay in bed with meds until the fever leaves and the pulsing of the kidney stops..guess I'll be home Tues./Wedn.
Off to bed I go
Betty, so sorry your in pain with this infection! Make sure you listen to the Dr. and take your meds! Hope you get a good nights sleep!
Betty - I hope you feel better soon! Drink lots of cranberry juice (Right?)...
(((HUGS)))
Mary
feel better soon (((((((((((((((((((((((((((Betty))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Morning, body thinks it has to get up for work, didn't fight it, had my bath, took my meds, going to make myself hot chocolate and cereal then it's a lay down day for me..
Don't feel as feverish today so that might be a good sign.
Be back later
Betty, listen to your body....and your doctor. Lay down and get better! Lots of fluids, cranberry juice is good for you....and REST woman!
I will be gone most of the day, but will check back in later. I have to do something extremely scary for me...and gotta put my big girl pants on and get it over with!
Debbie
Good morning to all. Just came acrossed the awesome cozy room. It is raining cats and dogs down here but not going to complain we need it bad.
housse-tell us about yourself and welcome!! My name is Stacey and the main thing about me right now is that I just had a baby about 2.5weeks ago-he was 7 weeks early and I do daily updates on his progress-he is in the NICU right now, but will hopefully be home soon!!
Betty-so sorry you aren't feeling well-do take it easy and get better-you don't need to be sick for your Thanksgiving..
Judy-got it detailed and the car seat is all taken care of!!:)
Copied and pasted:
Wellllllll-WE had a great day yesterday!! Jonathan is up to 5lbs, 6 2/3oz and HE GOT HIS FEEDING TUBE OUT!!!! He took 3 bottles and one feeding by tube on Sunday night and took his 8am feeding by bottle, so the Dr said to leave the tube out (yesterday was the day to change it) and see how he does. So I am REALLY hoping they don't have to put it back in. He took 55ml (he is still at 50ml, so he took a bit more) at his 11am feeding and 40ml at his 2pm feeding.
B4 going to see him, I went to see him I went to the OB and found out I lost 18.5lbs with the birth, so I only have 4lbs left of my pregnancy weight:)!! I can't believe I had 18.5lbs of water, baby and placenta!!LOL She took off the rest of the steri-strips and said the incision looked good and then we talked about birth control. Since I am doing the breast milk, I had 3 options-the depo shot (which I was on yrs ago and I think that is why it took 7yrs to get pregnant), and IUD (I do not like the idea of a foreign thing in my body for a couple yrs) or 1 kind of pill-I will be getting the pill. My BP has stayed down, so all is well:) I am able to drive again so I am thrilled with that too:)
After my daily Jonathan visit I had the car seat installation inspected and that went well too. Chris installed it right, but there were 2 things he didn't do that they don't tell you in the manual. There is a foot thing in front that you have to pull down so that the seat is level with the ground and you have to put your hand in the middle of the base and put your weight on it and cinch the belt a few times to make sure the belt is as tight as it can go. It shouldn't move more than an inch from where the base touches the backseat and Chris's moved about 3 inches since he hadn't put his weight on it. The lady told me a ton of other good stuff too, so we are all set:)
Thank you Stacey. So happy Jonathan is doing well. Take lots of pictures before you know it he will be of to high school and you turn around and wonder where did the time go....... So a bit about me I am a mother of 3 kids(all still at home) between doing soccer for 2 kids( games and practices) and the house stuff I like to quilt and love the great outdoors, camping and gardening. I also enjoy reading when I can and really good movies.
Welcome housse!!!! I'm Christine, or Crissy, or Chris, whichever LOL! Great to meet you!! I'm originally from Modesto, CA and moved to Malvern, AR in April 2007, married 4 1/2 years, you'll hear me talk of him, his name's Dave, and we have no kids!
Betty I'm glad your staying home and already feeling a bit less feverish.
Stacey I posted on the other thread that it sounds like you had a great day yesterday!!!
Sorry to hear you are under the weather Betty. Please listen to your Dr and get some rest. Those infections can be so draining and you need to maintain just to keep going. You are in my prayers.....
Take care of yourself, Betty. Now that you have your little trailer I think you will be traveling all over the place. Hope you come and see me on the way to wherever.
Had to laugh last night. I got hungry for homemade bread and fixed some last evening. I took it out of the oven and pan and put it on the counter to cool. I was watching TV and must have dozed for a few minutes (wasn't too far into the show). Thought I would have a slice of that warm bread and when I looked for it, it was gone! Checked the floor, other rooms, no crumbs or any sign of that whole loaf of bread. My 1 yr old retriever, Pepper, had gotten it off the counter and eaten the entire load while I was asleep. I thought there might be some sign of where she had taken it to eat but there was nothing anywhere. She must like warm bread, too. This dog is part goat; she will eat anything! from ballpoint pens to paper to plastic flowers. Anything she can get her teeth on if she is bored.
This morning I made another load and this time I guarded it with my life!
Well, I think that Stacey has transposed numbers...cause the day before he was 6 pounds 5 oz. and now he's 5 pounds 6 oz. So I'm guessing he's still at 6 # 5 2/3 oz. Sounds like he's getting closer and closer to going home!
Betty, hope you're feeling better by now. I know how hard it is for you to stay still. Hope you've been a good girl!
Welcome Housse...I'm pretty much a lurker here, but I welcome you anyway! I live in Ohio, have been unemployed for 20 months and love to garden! I have 3 cats and one Australian shepherd. Lots of grandkids and one hubby. (Oh yeah, 3 boys and a girl, too....)
Hello,
Welcome Housse!! I'm Judy, I've 3 kids. 2 girls-20 & 17 and my son is 15. They keep me quite busy.
DH too...I also am unemployed at the moment, always looking. So glad you came to visit, looking forward to getting to know you.
Betty, You are very quiet today so I sure hope your following Drs. orders and RESTING. Was glad to see your not as feverish today...Hope that is still the case.
Crissy, Oh man so sorry to hear of the added expense with your car. I hope you don't have any more issues.
OMG, Stacey excellent news about Jonathans feeding tube coming out! Good you got everything with the car all set, pretty soon Baby will be cruizin around, all comfy going home.
Hey Susan, Saw the song Day by Day, wow, it is so beautiful!
How was your Thanksgiving Dinner at the Church?
Debbie, Again you are on my mind all day....How are you doing? Hang in there kiddo.
S.O.S. I need serious help!! I have been a women possessed today!! This is what happens when i am in worry mode, lol.
Soo, I've been in match the socks brigade, right. This morning I finished up what I could and then went on a hunt in the kids rooms!
Was swallowed up in the clothes strewn, piles of towels and and assortment of missing glasses with probably half of lake Michigan in them. And well i'll spare you of other things, but, I bet they can win any Science fairs! That was early this Morning, also, played look for a job and clean out my mailboxes, since then, Washed, dried folded and put away, 5 loads of laundry 2 left in the wash and dry and another 2 on deck! Did 2 loads of dishes...lol, mostly found glasses, cleaned the Bathrooms, vaccumed and swept all the floors...and managed to speed sew four rows, cut and sew blocks, finish the first Curious George and started the cutting of the second...Drop DD#1 to school, Pick up DD# 2 from school, Pick this and that up. Put table and chairs back on the deck, Cuddle Skittles Up for a bit, Pick up DS from FB practice...DH came home, took Breenie to the store, so helped to put groceries away, Talked to Liz.. see what happens when the thread is quiet?
LOL, Funny of the day, Sabrina wanted me to pick her up today instead of tomorrow, we had a whole txt debate over it..in the end I didn't pick her. When I picked her up after school, asked why she wanted to come home. She says, Well I was bored! So, i told her of all the things that got done, and said man i am so tired of cleaning...OMG, talk about the kid turning into the mom, she says, well I'm tired of going to school too, but I got to...If I were standing i would have fallen down, I say this same thing, all the time to her! ROFLOL, it was such an opportune time for her to repeat my words, we laughed all the way home! LOL, she just cracked herself up over i, couldn't wait to tell her dad! I am sure she will repeat to Sister and Brother too...Ohhh got shake my head!
And So, Best of the Day..Sock Brigade almost done! Towels found and making leaway on toddler quilt.
Worst- Worrying about a lot of people.
What did i learn? Can't be mad at the advise reversed from the Kid! LOL..But if one person gripes that i am on the computer, i'm going to deck em! And now, Ido believe it's Miller Time! Hear that? A cold ones calling my name, big cheesy smile!
Hope you all had a good day.
So going to say good night, i am bushed.
nighters!

Good Morning to all. Judy sounds like you are on a roll. I do the same thing clean house and laundry while kids are at school, then you sit back and admire your work only to be messed-up as soon as they get home from school. Or you get "Where did you put my.............." Gotta love them.
Drats, came on and gave you all an update on me and Ann/Mike, gabbed to each of you and pressed 'send' yikes, knew just after I pressed send it didn't go anywhere, froze, so quickly I highlighted and tried to copy but it wouldn't let me do anything, knew I had lost it all!
The painting girls offered not to come today but I said come...oh/oh doing a project I want todo
be back after they leave
Mary-I HAVE to ask-what happened after the chicken crossed the road??LOL
Judy-seriously-I need you to come to my house with your Tasmanian devil cleaning self;)
Joyce-don't' know why I keep doing that-LOL-yes you are right 6lbs, 5 2/3oz:)
Copied and pasted:
Jonathan did well on all of his feedings Monday night, but had a slight setback with his 9am feeding (yes they changed the times). He only took 22ml at that one and had some breathing issues. He didn't gain any weight, but he didn't loose any either. When we gave him his noon feeding though he did excellent. Took 40ml in 10mins, and then he burped right away. It then took us 6mins to get the bottle back in his mouth (little turd didn't want to put his tongue down)and he took another 12ml in about 5 mins-after that he was done. After the bad 9feeding the Dr left orders to reinsert the feeding tube if necessary-the nurse had left the notes in his room, so I was able to read them B4 she came in and was very upset. First of all we'd gotten our hopes up that he would be home this week and secondly, I didn't understand how he took all of his feedings for well over a day and then only has a problem when she feeds him-she was one we'd never had B4. I cried a lot and had a little chat with Little Buddy about the fact that he needs to breathe while he eats even if he takes breaks every few pulls to get some good breaths in and to be good for the nurse and take his bottle. I want him to be ready to come though and not have to take him back-that would kill me to think it was all over and have to go back to the visiting him in the hospital...I also took in my bottle yesterday and the ones I have (Dr. Browns) are renowned to allow minimal air in while feeding reducing gurd and colic issues so maybe those made it easier to eat as well. I am trying to prepare myself for the fact that I might go in today or tomorrow and his tube might be back in. We took in his car seat yesterday (he has to sit in it for 2hrs without any alarms) and his picture outfit so that when they do that if we are not there the nurse on duty can put it on him. Yesterday was really hard for me-did a lot of crying...oh well, not much I can do about the situation.
Stacey think postive thoughts and take a deep breath. You want to make sure all is going well when you do take little man home .I know you want him to come home . And he is doing really well gaining weight and not losing any. Sending you a big hug.............
Thanks housse-LK said it was Laura, is that right?? I am trying to keep my chin up, but I have never been a patient person and I am just really sick of going to the hospital to see him...
Judy you were just a cleaning fool. I know how that goes when you are not working. You want to feel that you are getting something done. I can remember cleaning out my kids rooms. My oldest son used to take glasses upstairs and put them under the bed. I don't know how many I found with "stuff" in them. I used to have to scour them out and then put in dishwasher twice before I felt they were clean. You know since I live along I never lose socks. I think the sock monster only lives in houses where there are kids.
Did I tell you all that my dog ate a whole loaf of warm homemade bread just out of the oven? Yep, Monday night I dozed off watching TV and she go the loaf off the kitchen counter and took it away somewhere to eat. Not a crumb to mark the trail and no crumbs on the floor. I bawled her out so much she went into her crate and stayed there the rest of the evening. I was so looking forward to a piece of that warm bread!
That is too funny dog eating fresh baked bread. Did you make one for just you??????
