Thought I'd move us over, rooms a bit chilly but I'll put the fireplace on and make the hot chocolate....

Stacy....I have had four kids. And not one of them had horrific stinky poop like you describe until they were started on foods, I wonder if they should do a stool culture just in case to check for bacteria. Remember I was telling you all that I was looking for a mini trailer to tow behind my little car? In order to do so it would have to be the type they tow behind motorcycles, nothing more than a glorified tent, but I'd be up off the ground.

Looked at the price and not much under $4,000..little out of my league, said to the good Lord, if I'm meant to have one he'd give me the means to do so...

Went looking at all the models on the internet, gee I want one..saw in London, Ontario a man had one for a little over $2,000..would have gone and picked it up but I asked for a few more photo's and from those photo's I could see it wasn't the best buy..

Was sad, thought I had me a trailer, so I've been looking on the internet dreaming...

My brother Bernie got part of the back deck done but ran out of a few supplies, most I ordered from TimBrr but another piece he needed they didn't have..

On my way home tonight I decided to stop at Bernie's and get a piece so at least if I went shopping I'd know what I was looking for..dropped into a few establishments and no go then I remembered Belanger Aluminum...if they didn't have it then doubt anyone else would..

Explained to the owner what I was looking for, he said he thought he had it, said no but had something he thought was better and he'd give it to me, no charge..imagine...well as it turned out it wouldn't work but he would be able to order it in..off he went to return the item to back storage..

in the meantime...

Again, in the meantime, a young woman came out of her office and said 'hello Betty' was a young girl that did some work for me when I was at the Township, her name was Heather and my children's age..nice girl..we got gabbing and she went on to tell me that they have a trailer in Wildwood Park (on the same bay I had my house) we gabbed some more and I told her about my wanting to purchase a travel camper, mini travel camper, kind they use with motorcycles, said I would order one shortly and get it in the spring...

She picks up a camera, shows it to me, says 'do you know what is on this film' jesting, 'nope' well Paul my boss just brought in his camera, asked me to download and put a mini camper in the Marketeer for sale!' omg/omg I got so excited, she calls her boss Paul out of back area and tells him I'm looking for the exact same thing he's wanting to sell...now he's excited...I ask him when can I see it, he wasn't ready to close up shop but Heather offered to stay another 1/2 hr. so Paul could drive me to his house and show me the unit...

So now we go into his back yard..omg, it's the cutest mini camper, same as I was looking for, not a mark on it, well ok...one hinge had a touch of brown which I think is rust and can be replace...it's the Elite model which has all the bells and whistles..he has me open it up, level it, set it up and all it took was about 8 minutes, had I know how to do it maybe I could have done it in 4 or 5 minutes...

Yikes, this is just what I want...now comes my question, what are you asking??? I almost fainted when he said $1,000. I yelled "SOLD" so he was going away today and tomorrow but will be back Sunday afternoon, if he's back early enough he'll deliver it, if not, it will be Monday night as I don't have a hitch on my vehicle yet..so ask me if I'm excited..sure am!!!

the Elite has a stainless steel wrack in front of the unit for a cooler or storage box and on top of the unit it has racks so I can carry misc. supplies...only thing that didn't come with it was the mattress..told me he just purchased a good quality memory foam for it and would keep it..what a bargain, so I'll purchase the memory foam for it this week...
Says it has a table also..he showed me another piece, calls it a bra so while you travel the stones don't chip the piece...

Will I go camping??? don't know..just wanted one..lol...mostly for when I do my travelling in USA, can bring my bed, food and crafts with me..

So it's been an exciting afternoon...knew the Lord would lead me to a camper..thought it might take awhile but he saw fit to get me one today!!!

Closed in, ok for snow to arrive..not sure but think I'll paint all the wood white..give it a cleaner look, need a warm day though, perhaps our thanksgiving weekend, only 2 weeks away, bound to be nice weather..Bernie still has to trim out the door, furries aren't enjoying that they can't come on the deck..have to figure out something..

We Finally got rain today YAY! MIL had given me for my bday in August ...this jewelry box you put your silver in and it isn't supposed to tarnish. I didn't think I had much silver but found more than I thought... polished it up....worked on that today....

Hey Barb - I may have asked you this before....if so I apologize ! BUT while getting Mom's jewelry out of the closet - I noticed an OLD Quilt that Grandma had given me....I remember Mom being surprised she gave it to me...because it was a special quilt and boy did I feel bad.... it is lying on my floor in the closet and dusty....

Is there some way I can take and have it preserved ? Drycleaning might not be the thing... maybe how they do a wedding dress ??? I just remember Mom saying it was special...not sure why this one... I probably have 6-10 quilts from Grandma. She would give them to us almost every Christmas... in a Huge trash bag.....NOW I can finally begin to appreciate all her hard work....

My best friend has an autistic daughter who had her 15th birthday today. She saw my 'art pochade' and told her mom that she wanted a REAL art kit like mine =)

soooo, bought her one and decided to do a little decorating on it

needless to say she was absolutely ecstatic over her gift! Also sent along a bunch of brushes, empty canvases , tracing paper and charcoal, and a canvas pad for her to practice on. The smile on her face was completely priceless!

This was my first attempt in a long, long time at acrylics....back to oils for now! LOL

I Absolutely have NO art ability (DH does though)..... But those are Fabulous !

JUDY! (((HUGS))) Yes - I have to appreciate "That which I cannot do"..... I found some old pics of Grandma and Mom tonight. They were both VERY good at writing letters to me which I kept. Thank you THANK YOU for the encouraging words... I just can't respect my Mom and Grandma enough..... If by preserving her quilt I am doing so.... it is well deserved...

Anjl..omg you just made my morning, how are you??? Has been a long time!

Love the art work, you are indeed talented, you can see you have a love of birds..not my greatest thing to paint..especially love the bluejay.... you are indeed a special person to get an art kit together for your friends daughter..are you able to find time to give her a few lessons..just knew those brushes would come in handy.

Have you been feeling better? How's your son doing? Don't go away for so long this time, drop in and chat from time to time!

Mary, that quilt should be set out so it can breath, perhaps put it on a line and do what they years in years gone by, gently take a brook and smack the dust out of it, air it and display it.

I too must take mom's cross stitch quilt out of the plastic bag and make some type of material bag to safeguard it..needs to breath.

Lordy I was frustrated, couldn't get on the computer all morning I finally broke down and called Rogers, they led me through the process (you can teach old dogs new tricks) and I'm up and running..couldn't connect to google so he had me do 'bing' and here I is!

Not sure what I want to get into this morning, got Greg's rag quilt blocks sitting on the table, got another hummer sketch and playing with it..as I said, didn't like the scratch and adding ink to color it, would rather have had yesterday's project stay 'white'.

Thought I might look for a photo of Missy or Riley and do it with scratch art at work tomorrow.

I was going to town to purchase a mattress for the camper this morning but thought I should wait until I get it, JUST to make sure, the man Paul did say 'a deal is a deal-man only as good as his word' but I heard that before.

Told mom about the trailer, she said, 'don't think when I go to Buffalo with you I'll sleep in a trailer' then in my excitement with Bernie having motorcycles I said 'in your travels you can take it' quickly he said ' I'm going to be 62, where are your brains, if I travel it will be a hotel room not a mini-camper' Charlene his wife echoed same..

Drats where are these people's sense of adventure???

Oh well, if nothing else I'll camp in my own back yard..lol

Mary, between the Son and the dog....I am a mess. Second week of school and he had a run in with the guidance counselor and a teacher, and major senioritis. I know lots of it is from his worries over the cats and Izzy...but HOW do you get that through a teachers brain. Farm country up here...they aren't as compassionate with animals.

Stacy, sure you are snuggling that little one. His "girl friend" is about to be born. Brittany is at 2 cms now....not due til Oct. 21st, so am sure it can be any time.

Rag quilt, you got it, have enough flannel here from different quilts that we can sit one day and make one..

Debbie, it's hard, know a lot of people who make comments such as a bullet cost but 10 cents and you are right, it was the way of old, hard to get around that..many feel that we should just 'get over it' get another..cold hearted I call them!

Just spoke with Greg to confirm Thanksgiving plans, says Noah has a hockey game mid afternoon about 100 miles away on the Sunday, ok, I'm all for sports but when you can't get together as a family because of sports something should be done. I asked about having it Saturday so he says he'll check, boys, he says it's weeks away..NO it's not next weekend but the next, I want to know what I'm doing, can't get together???? I'm going camping..lol

The just got a new vehicle yesterday, haven't heard of the name so says they are going shopping in a bit and he'll drop in to show me.

Betty, Brittany is Shannons best friend, she lived here for awhile in Feb and March when she was having some hard times with parents. I have known her since she was about 3....along with her older brother.

Right, wow, thought I had missed something. Hope all goes well for her and the baby! Is she living with her parents now? How unsettling it is for her..sooo in some ways you will be a grandmother, probably to only one who cares enough to acknowlege them.

Yes, Britt is back with her parents, against her wishes I think. She would much rather be here....but at the same time, for insurance purposes and all that...she has to be at her home. She hangs out here more than anywhere, and I know she gets food when she is here also.

I think I told you, neither one of my older girls can have children, so in a sense...yes it is somewhat like being a Grandma. Yesterday was Britts shower. Only thing she rec'd was clothes. No car seat, stroller, crib, not even bottles. We are going to put a little something together for her, my older two want to do something for her.

I do remember you saying that, thought though one of the girls was being tested. Will check with Suzanne's daughter to see what she has that she won't be using as I know Arianna is her last child (at least that is what she says)

You will have her so spoilt, just know it!

Mary, You know, I have letters from my mom too. Isn't it a great feeling to go back and read. Sometimes, when i feel really lonely, I go back to pictures and my wedding Album. My Sister Sylvia wrote all the people in our wedding Parties name. She had the most beautiful handwriting. Just seeing it brings her into my heart...

LOL, She has been in my mind as of late, The last thing we did together was work on our kitchen, clean and line the cabinets. So while i have been working on my Kitchen, I talk to her, somehow I feel like she is here "telling" me it's all good.
