Overcast and grey. A very slight breeze from the south occasionally stirs the air but it is humid and feels a little oppressive already. Present temp is 65 degrees and should get into the 80s for a high today if the sun burns off he low level clouds.
Today's Weather in your Garden -78
pat when does briggs usually have sales? there stock is really low right now except for a bunch of jm's - they also had some nice granite jap lanterns and a pagola
I would say in the next couple of weeks. I cannot go as often as I used to and they have a new building there now. For perennials they are probably selling them at a lower price already. Used to have a bench with low priced goodies but don't know if they still do that now. October would probably be a good time to check on trees and shrubs but they do landscaping locally too so a big drop in price is not the normal thing I don't think.
thx - i was hoping 30% do not expect them to go to 50% like smaller businesses - the new building and layout is very nice - no wonder the prices are high :)
Overcast & 63 right now....should become sunny in the afternoon....have some exterior painting to do.....
Foggy and overcast all morn, sun is trying to break thru now
Sun is out here. Muggy and 77.
Since we are 5 miles as the crow flies from the ocean we have a good breeze. Helps working outside.
Still heavy overcast here, 70°, breeze picking up.
Awful day. 85 and a very muggy 61% H.
Feel bad for the people in MN with all that flooding.
Fall foliage map.

Muggy.....think I dripped into my paint, but got the first coat on...hope to finish tomorrow when I get back from the farm.....
Only reached 73° here, (thankfully), now 71°
Will that help the look, Robin?!!
80 and a bit humid today, but did a lot of planting anyway. The maples have - overnight - become stunning; in fact, one of the big old ones in the front yard has already covered the driveway with colorful leaves.
Our double date last night in the '55 Chevy was a lot of fun! The windows were down; the drive was beautiful with all the maples in full color, and the company was fun. :)
it was 88 here and humid - sept and i am thinking ac?? what is wrong with this picture?
I love the sound of that date Louise! Old cars and horse and buggy are very romantic IMHO!!
I agree, Celeste! We were invited by Hank's college roommate to take part in a horse and carriage ride in the Berkshires next week. They travel across the country with their coaches and horses and get together with others who do that. You dress up for the ride and stop for a picnic. This couple provided their horse and coach for Hank's daughter's wedding in Colorado to take the bride and groom from the church to the reception, and they drove the two of us that way too. It was great fun, but with our puppies being still in the puppy stage we had to decline the invitation next week for this year. We would have had to hold them on our laps for hours, and they have learned to bark at horses big time, because our neighbor rides her horses past the farm and the girls really tell those horses whose road they're on! LOL Doesn't seem quite fair to everyone who is out for a nice peaceful ride!
Ahhhh, a beautiful time of year...as long as you don't "contaminate" it with the miseries of the upcoming winter....
The "Phantom Gourmet" mentioned the Mendon Drive-In as a great "film and snack" destination.
Has anyone been there recently?
The ride through the Berkshires sounds heavenly....glad you had such a nice date night, Louise! Victor, I'm sure I'll always remember I have "sweat equity" in that door...pretty cloudy right now, but warm....warm is good!
