Today's Weather in your Garden -78

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It has many more, Sherrie.

That many moons you would think it is getting pulled in all different directions! I am not no astronomer.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The planet is huge. It's the other way around. The closest inner moon, Io, gets pushed and pulled so strongly that it's constantly erupting.

ok i trust ya. Just as long as it dont come this way.

East Bridgewater, MA

That's a great photo from 2009, the bands are on the diagonal; all the photos I've ever seen have the bands on the horizontal.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

If you have a scope you can see the changes in the bands and you can watch the moons setting on Jupiter too, (depending on how powerful your scope is and your 'seeing' conditions).
