Rain predicted today. DH replanted most of the plants jolted out of their spots by turkey dust baths yesterday. He was able to find some hardware cloth wire to partially cover the spot.

I loved, loved, loved your Christmas memories from your childhood. They were incredibly special to me, and put me more in "the Christmas Spirit" than anything else in the physical world, or online.

I'm hoping you will repeat them again 4 months from now, for the people that missed them. They were magical.

furnace was running. Usually DC is set at 74, guess it must have been chilly.

I remember reading it here on the "Northeast Forum"; it was just shortly before Christmas, and it seemed like it was memories of customs your family had in Europe before you were 12 years old (or much younger).

I don't want you to feel obligated to re-type anything as a chore; it was such a humble, yet endearing memory of young childhood, the way Christmas was meant to be.

lucy i just checked radar - i think it misses you although there is a storm that passed above where i am that cold track over to you.

looks like it will rain here for a few hours tonight although the heart of the storm will slide just to the south of us - my pond is down about 6 ft and the water pump now is moaning.

Never got the rains predicted yesterday here. Vis from 300' - ¼ mile due to fog this am, sunny w/ a high of 77° expected here for today.

Been raining since 5:30 am, must of started sooner than that. Still raining but switches from very light to a bit heavier every now and then.
54 right now, says we will get up to 65 today...better than yesterday, we barely made it to 60 here.

Yay for the tree guys! There was one killed yesterday in CT....he was high up in an oak, when it split at the base & came down.....only in his 20's....very sad! Painted outside today at a nearby park called Topsmead....it was an estate belonging to Edith Chase, whose family became rich from the brass industry. There is an English style cottage, & some lovely flowers. The sun was nice, but it was very windy, & hard to keep things from blowing away.....

It has opened the shady area nicely - room for more JM's!!
