The specific antibiotics to treat those infections are quite effective.

Rain off and on here today .. went to get the stickers for my licence and renew my Health Card .. got the licence done .. but the computers for the Health Card were down :-( took my name and said they'd call me when it was OK to come back .. was home half an hour, phone rang .. yep .. 'COME ON DOWN' .. so .. as much as I do not savour another trip into the city tomorrow, off I go.

Lordie, the election signs about the city are getting ridiculous !! Every shape and size and put hither thither and yon !!

Puppy K was HORRENDOUS last night .. am hoping next week will be MUCH better ..

Have been popping in to read most days though we were out of town last week with intermittent Internet. Didn't work well in our hotel room so we resorted to the free computers in the business centre. We drove the 45 yr-old Porsche to Cleveland, OH for an event. Stopped overnight on the TO trip in Rochester, NY to see some friends and relatives. Drove straight through on the way back Sunday as we were expecting roofers on Monday and DH went to Houston on Tuesday.

The car ran well. We now have friends in the 356 Registry organization and met many new people. After a few years we enjoy going to see each other. Might be back to dig my Mom's garden this weekend and it's supposed to be a super weekend! That way I get to spend it outside and with my folks. Just a mad dash down and a dig like crazy and mad dash home. Oh well there will be a day when they won't be here to do for and at least I'm handy with the shovel and can help sometimes.
It has been lovely here too, sun and warm and no wind so the blue sky is the most fabulous color with the fall leaves in the foreground.

Still lovely weather here but have not spent much time in the garden past couple of days.

This morning needed to go to LH and on my way, as happens twice every time I go there I pass a store called Tiempo which has decorative stuff for home/garden mostly I think from Mexico. It has been on that corner for about 15 years and the windows always have interesting things but I have never gone in. But the past while there has been a set of pots that I reallly like and today - having my first cash from my RIF I felt a bit flush so I went in to check the price and came home with all 3 pots! I will arrange them together in one of the garden beds next spring. They are clay and painted so I cant leave them out all winter - I think the color might fade. They are actually a bit darker than the pic appears.

Lovely pots, Carol - and as you say, darker?! I love dark blue, especially cobalt blue.
Where is this store - NW - maybe Kensington?

45 minutes longer and am homeward bound..felt good all day but feel as though I need to lay down and have a nap when I get home...was payday today, tomorrow's a short day, yikes, too bad I couldn't take 2 1/2 days off every week.
