Happy Birthday Marion!!!
Wishing you a great day today!
Welcome to the world, Jonathan!! You now inherit all these great aunts that are anxious to meet you!!
PTL for answered prayers!
Morning everyone.
Happy Birthday Marion. Hope it is the best ever with many many more to come.
And I can't wait to meet Jonathan. Hope you are feeling well Stacey and that both of you will be home soon.
Stacey, congrats on the delivery! I sure hope it was not too bad for you?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAID M., WELCOME JONATHON
I see Stacey already let you know but here are more details.
HE HAS ARRIVED! Jonathan Gabriel Combest came into the world at 8:54 pm, on Saturday, September 10. He is 5 lbs. 8 oz. and breathing on his own. As per usual,
once the doctors had agreed that he should make his entrance HE decided that maybe he was just as happy were he was, so Stacey had to have a C-section. Dad says he has dark hair, chubby cheeks and looks just like his Mom.
They have asked to have today to recuperated before showing Jonathan off to the world so I wont be going to Toledo until tomorrow. I don’t know how long Stacey will be in the hospital but cards can be sent to her home; her address is in the exchange.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARION!!!!!!!!! I hope you have a GREAT day!!! OOOO eat some of LK's cake, that looks delicious!
WELCOME TO THE WORLD JONATHAN!!!!! Congrats Stacey, I am so glad he's healthy!
Thanks Janice.
Crissy.. you're next!!
Stacey is next on the list, Oct 18th!
Thanks for the update Janice, so sorry she had to have a c section, but she will heal quickly! They will most likely send her home in just a few days! How long will Jonathan stay in the hospital?
I meant Crissy is next to grace us with a great nephew or niece.
Provided of course, if she agrees!!
Oh, that would be nice! How about it Crissy?
Me think she's having a Crissy Condition. I can hear her screaming all the way from Arkansas!!
LOL!
He will be in NICU for a couple weeks until he can eat from a nipple,be it bottle or natural. C-section was a little scarry, but all is good-a litle sore is all.
Who wants to see pics??

My goodness all these birthdays. Did anyone think to sing Happy Brithday to Jonathan? When my first grandchild was born, his Dad brought a birthday cake to the hospital for him. Can you imagine?????
Synda, so nice to see you here. Don't be such a stranger, we don't bite too hard!
(((((((HUGS)))))))
We don't want to scare Jonathan with my singing, so I will leave that up to the rest of you!
I sang happy birthday to him LOL
Synda-LOL-well then you had quite the Bday-glad we didn't double up on gifts;)
HAPPY BDAY AUNTIE M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for all the well wishes:) It was an interesting road to travel I must say. I was in such pain Friday night by the time they decided to do the Csection, but was still scared for the procedure. When he came out he let out a little wail, but Chris said he was good through all the poking and needles. Chris went with him to the Nicu while I got put back together and then came to me in recovery. I had a fabulous team and the anesthesiologist was great. He told me what to expect right before it happened to I knew what was going on was normal. After I spent about 1.5 hrs in recovery, they took me to see Jonathan before going to my room. It was and has been hard to leave him there. I was able to finally take a shower yesterday (hadn't had one since Tuesday) after lunch and visiting the baby. He is already eating some on his own, and the only reason he needs to stay here is because he isn't taking full feedings on his own yet. He has a supplement tube in his nose and down his throat for feeding. But the nurses were surprised that he was already taking 10ml of formula pretty much since birth and they upped him to 20ml yesterday for lunch. I was able to get a little milk when pumping, so will be taking that to him today. So far everything has went pretty well with my recovery. I did have some reactions to the anesthesia though. I have been itching like crazy and was dizzy all day yesterday and Friday night-so much so it made me sick. Chris slept at home last night, but will be here in a couple hrs this am. Mom is coming as well as SIL, but my mom won't be here for a couple weeks. We are trying to time it so that when Chris goes to Minneapolis she can be here.
Will try and get more pics today to add to the web album:)
CONGRATS CHRIS AND STACEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a sweetie Jonathan is!! Thanks for sharing those pics Stacey.
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL Jaye you are just the funniest gal I have ever met! No, I'm not next, hate to break y'all's hearts but... no.
Here's what I did yesterday. Dave's best friend's wife, who isn't the most cheerful person to be around, nothing makes her happy and she's always brooding about something, however how do you keep that going all day around me??? LOL!!! We went to lunch and to drive to this huge dollar store that has more stuff than any other dollar store I have ever seen, it's been about a year since we've been. The lunch was awesome, I love that restaurant we went to, we stopped at Pickles Gap village, which is a little old fashioned shopping center with an antique store, an American Indian store, gift shop, deli and fudge store, gun and knife store, and a bath store, got some awesome body butters! Got to Russellville (Pickles Gap is an hour from the house, Russellville is another 50 miles west of that on I-40) to go to this huge dollar store, they have moved and it's now a normal sized dollar store with the same ole stuff, she got a few items and I got a few items (small gold Christmas wreath I can decorate and hang in my office, some kitchen wipes, and a kitty litter scoop since Tiga's is broke) so we decided that we will never be making that trip again, but we were just happy to do something other than the norm. On the way back we were both thinking that we really have nothing in common, then fishing came up, all 4 of us like to fish! Got a good laugh of that and she's going to teach me how to frog gig! After we got back I dropped her off at her house, drove back to my house, Greg and Dave did not go to the kayak RU as Greg didn't want to get up off of his sofa plus it was raining and very humid after the rain left, Dave didn't care either way, me and Dave went to town and had Backyard Burgers, boy were those yummy, went to the store (Kroger) and got some really good looking steaks and a small pot roast Dave's going to cube up for stew tonight, we got home and the NASCAR race was on so I made a margarita and watched the race, then we went to bed at 10pm. All in all, it was a great day!
AWWWWW, he is just beautiful Tink! I'm so happy for you and Chris that he is finally here, and healthy! I know you can't wait to get him home with you! I'm doing well, just got my first 6 Tropical Hibiscus in the mail so I am learning about them and babying them, ready for blooms! I am so excited about this new gardening hobby!
Synda I have been wondering for a long time........did you used to go by Synda Doreen here on Dave's Garden and post on the Sillies thread? Seems like I know you from somewhere, just can't remember..Happy Birthday!
Stacey... it makes me old eyes teary looking at Jonathan. How long are his limbs? Looks to me like he will get daddy's height ^_^ and mama's lovely face.
Chris truly looks like he is in the best place when holding Jonathan in his arms. And you my dear, couldn't look more radiant.
How long do they intend to keep you in the hospital? You're so knowledgeable in medical stuffs, I'm sure you'll heal in no time.
Stacey and Chris, we are so happy for you!!! Congratulations to you both, and thank God this is not audio formatted.. if not my singing will just sour Jonathan's milk!!
Crissy, how wonderful you had truly a day out of the ordinary yesterday.
See that.. even brooders can be quite 'uplifting' company!! Dollar Stores can surprise us sometimes as long as it's not one owned by WM :D
Don't care for frog legs.. so I don't think I'd be asking you how to frog gig!
Yes Karen. That's our Synda!! She also is the queen of pictures here. Almost all her posts will have pictures.. Us old hens need some visual support ;)
Synda, you must be a special lady to have 2 special only God made gifts on your birthday!!
No.. I didn't go to church today.. later this evening.
Kel had to go OOT to attend an art seminar, and being it is from 9-12.. I chose to stay behind.
Last night I watched TWO football games simultaneously!!!! Flipped the channel back and forth.
Sis and my team won. Alabama vs Penn St. 24-3.
LSU vs Vanderbilt 27-3
I got lucky as I didn't miss none of the moments when both teams scored!! And my screams filled the house, while Kel monopolized the pc!
Think the Buckeyes won too?
Anyway.. got to get this gear off.. to clean and cook and feed the kids.
Wishing you all a Blessed Sunday.
Jonathan's birth and Jax' son's slow recovery are two great blessings indeed.

Stick to the dolmas next time, but save those baklavas for me!! Lol!!
Thanks Sis Kathy. I've been told that there are others too that had their pcs attacked.
Stacey..if you're reading this. You and Chris are now officially Jonathan's slaves!!!
Most of us are on facebook, there are lots of virus' found there. Sp be careful what links you click on. If it is a youtube video, I always go to youtube, and search for it myself. I don't play facebook games anymore, because thet is where I got my virus!
Just be careful what you click on!
You may be right. It was after I had downloaded an application on FB.. then declined it.. went back to another site, then the screen started to go bonkers.
Don't do games here, and always hit Youtube for the vids. Now be wary of the apps.
OK here goes the proud Grandma. I got to go and see Jonathan today when Chris and Stacey gave him his 2:00 pm feeding. He is still in ICU but they can come and go when they want. Stacey is going home tonight and then it will be the hardest, as she must leave Jonathan behind.
Chris goes back to work on Wednesday and I will go up and take care of Stacey and drive her to the hospital since she can't drive for two weeks.
Here are some pictures:
Chris seems to be a natural. He sings and coos to the baby and makes loud sucking noises when he is feeding. Chris says he is just showing him how (and who could doubt it)? He is not a bit afraid to change diapers, which is a feat with all of the lines and tubes in the ICU, and stays when they change the IV's. I guess hehas watched enough medical shows on TV not to be squeamish.
Stacey is like any Mom and doesn't want to watch him get hurt.
