Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

had rain this am, cleared out by noon. calling for a high of 68 tomorrow, glad the wedding we are going to is inside tomorrow.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

90s again today and no sign of Earl so far. If he doesn't visit and bring the gift of heavy rain tonight, I'm going to have to water tomorrow. Things are looking terrible and shriveled out there. I was feeling their pain as I walked around the yard hearing the choking sounds. Hope things aren't too far gone.

Marilyn - glad to hear that Hay Hay likes kindergarten. A good start is really important, isn't it?

South Hamilton, MA

Hooray, started raining about 9:30 tonight. I love the sound & hope that it keeps up tomorrow. Everything really needs a drink.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

st.george, NB(Zone 5a)

Raining and wind picking up a bit in NB this morning. Earl is going more towards Nova Scotia now so hope the folks there fare OK. Have been watching this thread to see how you guys are making out and what I should expect. They are saying 70+ mm rain that will fall in 3 hours when he comes so lots of warnings about flash flooding. So far so good but we'll see what today brings.

East Bridgewater, MA

Sat., 6:25am

Rained most of the night, sometimes heavily.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Started raining here around 10 or 11 and is still raining. Winds expected to pick up later to 30mph, we've had Nor'Easter worse than this. Very Thankful Earl was kind to all of us. ^_^

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

crazy how much watering we are still doing

South Hamilton, MA

Raining at the moment--Earl was downgraded to a tropical storm last night. 73°

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Sorry you didn't get any rain Jen. Perhaps when the cold front goes through later this week. Just cloudy right now but is supposed to clear out soon. I will check later to see rainfall amounts. Glad it was just a brush by storm and very little after effects. Temp is 69 degrees and a light west wind at ptesent.

South Hamilton, MA

Rain was coming from the west as well as Earl. DD in MN had 2 days of it.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Not a drop here! Watering today or many plants will not make it! The heliopsis I'm bringing to the RU are in need of some water!!

South Hamilton, MA

About an inch of rain total according to DH. We were originally 2-3 inches but will have to make do. It was a gentle rain all night which is very useful for the garden.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

got a little rain here not enough though

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Sun is out now, the air is refreshing, cool and dry with a nice steady west breeze. Checked rain gauge and only about three quarters of an inch. Not so much as I was hoping for but I think lucky to get that as some people are still waiting for a little rain for the garden. Good we got this amount as now they have no rain in the forecast for 5 or 6 days. Have a great holiday weekend everyone!

Thomaston, CT

Not a drop of rain! Now it's sunny, cool, & windy, drying my plants out even more....:( And yes, Louise, hopefully the Kgarten honeymoon will last!

Mid-Cape, MA(Zone 7a)

Sunny and sparkling here this morning at 74 F, after Earl blew through last night--more of a pussy-cat than a tiger, thank heavens. About 4 inches of badly-needed rain; the sluggish air all blown away. Lots of preparation and hoopla, but fortunately not near as much damage as was predicted on the Cape.
It's absolutely gorgeous outside.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No rain, but a gorgeous day. 75 and sunny. 44% H with a great breeze.

Thomaston, CT

Glad to hear there was no damage, CCG!

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

We got back in Friday afternoon and took a damage tour, wash over wasn't bad, a few shingles were missing, a few trees damaged, the worst damage was the beach erosion. What one storm takes another can replace if they wait. The ocean is still rough but the weather is great. Ric

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

79°, wind SSW 13mph, Rh 27%, Sunny
- beautiful day outside, the cool breeze & low humidity keeping it 'just right'

Super windy here, keeps blowing trash cans and containers over

East Bridgewater, MA

Amazing, it's been a beeautiful "top 10" day, all day.

We have not got a drop of rain and we need it bad.

Thomaston, CT

Same here, Sherrie....used up all that was in the rain barrel, & used the hose beside....no rain in the forecast for the next 7 days!

South Hamilton, MA

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

71°, wind WSW 10mph, mostly sunny

Thomaston, CT

It's 62 right now, breezy & sunny....am not wearing shorts to my cousin's picnic!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous day!!

Mid-Cape, MA(Zone 7a)

The second day of absolutely gorgeous 70 F sunny weather on the Cape, post-Earl (or "Earlene" as my husband calls him!) The tourists who bailed on Friday all returned on Saturday for the LD Weekend, and retailers and restauranteurs are grateful!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Cool temps to start the holiday at 45 degrees. Already rising with the sun to 52 degrees at present. Calm wind. Sunny and dry all day with a predicted high around 80. Chance of showers mid week.

Chilly here, but hoping for mid-70s at the farm today.
