Blooming Brugs

Hamilton, OH

Debra
there will be extra Santa Rosa, when I dig it up if you would like one, it would've been so much nicer if those worms hadn't of gotten too the Bloom, I do like the color on it, I couldn't believe it got taller than NN, it has a few more Buds on it, hopefully
we will see the Bloom without the holes, maybe I should really trim my Trumpet vine back

Beautiful as always. Mine has slowed down for a while but are getting buds.
So I will try to be patient. Got new flowerbed started, got the grass out and timbers laid now to add soil and plants. got some Beautiful Oxalis in there and a Lantana to start it out with. The birdbath has sedum and semps.

Dee

Debra, your Kaitlyn looks great, I had too have that one, my GD's name is Caitlyn, so far mine doesn't have Buds, I can't wait too see your's Bloom, I like the morning glories also
Dee, we are suppose to get rain today, I had too water yesterday, I have started digging up some Brugs, that haven't done anything, I am glad you got a day without having too water, did you see the weather forecast it's only going to be 78 or 79 degrees for the next few days, we might have all kinds of flushes, Yippee
Sheri, you'll be addicted too Brugs soon enough, they're like lays patato chips, you can't have just one

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

It is going to be nice to have some dirt to play in. I've been putting potting soil and Longear poo in there. Should be able to grow about anything and it is near enough I can water it. Have a Lantana and red Oxalis til the chicken eat the leaves, I'll probably have to cage them from her.
Got Buds coming on , now that it has cooled down some. So glad for that.
Got this blooming and love it too.

Great pictures Elizabeth, maybe it will cool down someday and I will have some blooms. Even my Gingers are suffering this Summer, but it won't last forever, even if it feels that way sometimes.

It's the last few days of the gone2seed Brug co-op;

Elizabeth, I just love your Miss B Havin'.Can't wait to see today's pic of Santa Rosa.Beautiful clematis.I brought a Sweet Autumn with me when we moved, but it hasn't begun climbing yet...just kinda sitting there...looks healthy tho.
I have to get out and put in some last minute perennials, before it gets cold.

this is P&C, it will be darker this evening, it's amazing how they start out white then turn Peach color

Santa Rosa is sooo pretty, Elizabeth. Can't wait to see P&C after she peaches up! I think peach is my favorite color of any flower. The P&c that you sent me home with has grown well, but not a sign of a bloom. Just the plant, without the blooms, is beautiful, tho.Oh well...there's always next year.
Talk about tall brugs, remember the seedling I started last winter, of Jacayna x Daydreams. It is probably about 7 ft. tall, but no buds on it either. The brugs have grown great for me this year, but I just got them out too late to get a lot of blooms, I think. My yellow noid is still blooming great,Painted Lady has a lot of blooms coming on, Naughty Nick and Solid Gold each have 2 or 3 and that's about it, that I know of anyway.
Got most of the perennials planted today.Worked a bit, at modifying the arbor/pergola/trellis thingy.Just put a board up the outside middle on each side, so it can support the climbing hydrangeas, that I plan on planting tomorrow.Got some shade plants put in, too...I love this time of year, when it's beginning to cool down, a little.
Dee

Hamilton, OH

Dee
I am glad it has cooled off some also, I am glad for you that you got the perennials out of the way, now you can just enjoy the Brugs as they Bloom, I wish Maya had gotten as big as P&C, I am glad yours is growing well, tommorrow I will post the P&C as it gets it's color, also Velvet rose will have a full flush, that Santa Rosa got so Big, it out grew NN, I didn't think that was possible, I really like your pergola next year it will be covered with beautiful plants, that Jacayna X Daydreans should be a beauty Oh I almost forgot Flame is about too Flush, last night just as it was getting dark of all the times not too have my Camera with me a Spinx moth was cruising the Datura, I have started digging & potting up some of the Brugs that just didn't do anything

Elizabeth

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Charlene
looking good, mine were so wilted this afternoon, just had too water them, the wind was blowing, it rained a couple drops
my neighbor & I was standing outside talking, she said it's going too rain, I thought it will pass us by, well I am so glad I watered, it did bypass us, tonight I will take a photo of Velvet rose, it is covered with Blooms, the first one I've had too do that this year, I have had a few Blooms but nothing like last year, it has been a bad year for me, so much for getting them out early

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Charleen, look at all those big blooms. That is gonna be so pretty! When your Monster White blooms, will you post a pic? I have heard about it on all the brug forums, but never seen a pic.
Painted Lady will be blooming soon.Has lots of buds on it. I can hardly wait.Something has been chewing on Naughty Nick. It's leaves look horrible today.I'm gonna spray it again when I make my rounds in the morning. I stripped off most of the leaves today.
Elizabeth, I have some brugs that I just discovered some tiny blooms coming on. If they aren't big enough to open, by the time that I have to dig them, do you think they will bloom inside(under lights), or will digging them make the blooms drop off?
Dee

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I'll get you blooms Dee. My Monster isn't tall but is loaded with blooms.
Charleen

Hamilton, OH

as promised I have Blooms of Velvet Rose
Dee I think if you dig them up, pot them up then put them in a kind of kid swimming pool with water in it, the buds will still Bloom, anyway that's what I am doing with the ones I have started digging up, so they can grow a little bit longer

Elizabeth
