Today's Weather in your Garden - 76

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

We had an up to 3" down pour that caused localized flash floods, I knew I could make it rain by running the soaker on my mature trees, But Jeez! LOL Ric

Pinellas Park, FL(Zone 9b)

Thanks everyone. 70's during the day would be great for doing alot of walking. I got really lucky last year when I did an Alaskan/Canada cruise. We went in June and daytime temps were actually near 70 and only required a light jacket for the most part when we were on land. Of course, evenings and sea days were colder.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - I would take that, Ric, despite the downside.

Nice day - 75 and sunny. 47% H.

Thomaston, CT

Yes....a winner here today....tomorrow I'll be on the Port Jeff Ferry, so hoping it will be as nice.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Fantastic day! 76 and clear now, with 47% H. Anyone see meteors last night?? I was too lazy. Maybe tonight.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

75° here
- No, too many insects flying & crawling around at night in the summertime for my taste...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

They're mainly out at dusk. By 11 it's pretty clear. Don't be a wimp!!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I'll wait till November to see the Leonids, they're usually brighter and I wont have to deal with those horrible, blood sucking, flying leeches.

( I have an honorary, boy scout badge of merit for wimpyness when it comes to insects, lol!)

South Hamilton, MA

We need rain, can't redo beds If there is no water.

Thomaston, CT

Decided not to go to LI today....worked in the kitchen over 4 hours yesterday, & still not done.....cement dust still covers everything in the downstairs, & I can't live like that! The sun has just popped out.....will try to spend a few hours in the garden.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

76°, wind SE10mph, Rh 57%, mostly cloudy
- free LI symphony concert here at the Brookhaven amphitheater tonight w/ fireworks, only bummer is cameras not allowed.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cloudy and 76. 66% H. Tried looking for meteors from my window last night. No luck.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

We passed through that belt's highest density, it's too late, the show's over.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I know, but you do see some for a the next day or two. I just did not have the patience to wait too long!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

You would not be a good fisherman then. (lol)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm not!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

after being beautiful yesterday.. only 4 degrees hotter today... but humid now... yuck... put the air back on

Thomaston, CT

Cloudy, cool, & breezy all day....planted, weeded, walked, washed windows & curtains, sealed grout....ready for a nap.....

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Looks like the dog days are finally over. Felt more like fall this am. Mostly to partly cloudy today. Transplanted some self seeded phlox and watered again. Temp now is 74 degrees light southerly breeze. Really need to hit one of those showers that may pop up tomorrow.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Rain all around. None here. What else is new?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Ok, I get dressed up nice and I'm walking out the door to go to a concert and now it's raining.... :(

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yeah of course, no rain for a month and the day we want to have my daughter's party outside- it rains...UGH!!!!! .

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

0.34" so far. Bummer, Jen.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

not here either unless you are on well water

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Rain ended 15min before the concert started, maybe we got 0.1", just enough to make the tree frogs happy.

East Bridgewater, MA

It's monday morning, 2:35 Boston time:

We're getting a nice, moderate rain...the plants are smiling, I believe.

Hope we get at least 2 more hours...but grateful for what we're getting.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Yes! Same here. The first morning in a long time that I woke up to the sound of a nice rain. Would not mind if it rained all day, we sure do need it. Temp is 67 degrees and a slight southerly breeze.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

We need a full day of real rain here

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I could use two days.

75°, wind SSW 7mph, Rh 78%, 100% cloud cover

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Well not a lot of accumulation here. Only about one eighth to just under a quarter inch here. Hope another shower passes by. It is so dry we could do with a couple days of nice steady rain too. Every little bit helps.

Thomaston, CT

Blessed soft rain that can sink in is falling, & has been, off & on, since last night.....weatherman is still saying T-storms this afternoon.
