Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Feeling less humid out there.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

88°, wind NNW 15mph, Rh 33%, partly cloudy
- just got back from the beach, wind took the edge off the heat, 1 short fluke and 3 stingrays about 4' long @ ~15 lbs, all thrown back, - enjoyed the 'fight' nevertheless. (lol)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

'Only' hit 85 today! 84 now with a nice breeze. H is only 30%!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sounds like fun, WC!

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Everything was sun baked yesterday and today in the OBX, high was only 87*F @ 53%. The wind was scalding and out of the west, strong yesterday and more breezy today. It blew the thermal out to sea so the surf temps were 57-60*F, chilly. The pools however are like baths. Fishing has been poor, but a bad day of fishing beats a good day at work. I can't wait to come back for 2 weeks starting at Labor Day when the crowds are gone. Ric

East Bridgewater, MA

Yep, same thing at Cape Cod!

The crowds leave in early September, and then it's "Me Time."

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

very windy here

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Where's Sarge??

South Hamilton, MA

Thinkingabout heat & wind, saw the Russian fires on the news & people in Moscow having to wear masks. Worse than an CA fire near LA.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Saw that. Terrible heat and drought there. They will not export any wheat for months. Someone always has it worse. I try to always remember that.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

66 °F here now, will drop down to 50 here, as low as 35-40 in some spots tonight!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Aug in NE., I miss it. I was once asked why it was chilling in the am's and pm's in late aug. Told the people asking that it was almost Sept. They didn't believe me. They were from the mid-west where it stays warmer alot longer.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Down to 68! And still only 50% H. Great for this time of night.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

73°, wind N 8.0mph, Rh 33%
Went to the movies, this evening, saw "Salt" - very good!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Started in the mid 50s early this morning, right now mid 60s and should reach a high in the mid 70s. Sunny and lovely dry cool air today, looks like a 10. Going out to make battle with the weeds.

South Hamilton, MA

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great night! And nice day ahead. 79 and sunny with 44% H. Going to another Renegades game tonight. This time we are in a special area with a complete dinner from a nearby Italian restaurant.

We get invited to see the Yankees from one of those Vip corporate boxes at least 2- 3x/ month, with champagne and all that stuff, but since I don't care for baseball...

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Go for the food anyway, WC.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I've been considering it, DW wants to go, (she gets embarrassed saying no all the time), so I might drag myself there just for her one day...

I was in a VIP box at NHIS - Nascar - and it was awful. I dont like racing but it was different as you couldnt hear or feel the excitement.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I had a VIP box at a mud-wresting event once. Was horrible.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Yuck!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

- although I must admit I would be more inclined to say yes to watching that event as long as the players were interesting. (lol!)

In a vip box you might as well stay home. You can do just what you want and still see it all.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Just took this pic of the sun. You can easily see the two prominent sunspots. The sun has been waking up lately. (I am now blind in one eye. ^_^)

Good grief where is the blue sky?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Through a filter - just very bright white against black. I made it yellowish.
