RachelLF, those are very pretty pictures, I love them all!!!. I did grow a C. Johnstonii to a nice size a few years back as well, I kept it in morning sun and watered everyday. I would like to try again. TrueTropical gave it to me, he also gave me this A. Longiloba hybrid.

Joeswife, is that a Datura in your 5th picture? Next time can you get a close up of the flowers? The Brug. is a Monster White from candela, that is the second time blooming this year. I will be happy to start one for you.

pensacolagarden, It was Texasigleaves that started the new thread, any flowers on your vines?

Texasbigleaves, Have you seen any flowers on your variegated sea hibiscus yet? I am hoping that I will get a few this year, actually I have not seen any posting of the blooms anywhere.

Hi Prita,

The Orchid is at a friend's house. It is cultivated on a tree fern.

Here are Wild Orchids at my place.

More wild orchids.

Still yet, wild orchids!

Orchids are easy to grow here. Their main cultural requirement is to be tied onto a tree and left alone.

I wonder if Orchids were grown epiphytically on sections of wood (tree trunks) they would grow better as a specimen than in potted medium.

Gorgeous Orchids Dave!

texasbigleaves, I have the plant in a container which is placed inside a larger container that does not drain (bog type of situation). I used organic soil and added sand to the mix. Thus far the plant is doing well. Keeping fingers crossed though being that I have not had the plant very long. Maybe tropicbreeze could give us a few tips concerning this plant.

Debra, thank you and that is a very nice Gloriosa. Did you ever get that Sagittaria plant that you found growing in your area? I think they are cool looking plants.

Rita, that is one awesome Longiloba hybrid! I hope Truetropical is still able to grow the plants he adores where he lives now.
