Glad everyone is safe
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 74
Yes, me too...sorry it was so scary Robin, glad all is well. We got lightening and rain, but not real hard rain. The flowers and garden enjoyed it. :)
humid at dinner time, nice this evening and cooler. Sat out in the backyard for a bit tonight.
Glad everyone survived the storms.
I saw some lightning off in the distance... no rain though
:(

- likewise DE!
71°, wind SSW 7.2mph, Rh 75%, sunny
1.3" total acc. form yesterday's storms.
- Victor, I figure you might be a little busy today so in case I don't catch 'ya later, have a safe and wonderful trip!
I was very lucky last night...all the bad storms missed me here in Central Maine but Southern Maine got hit and hit hard! They have a black funnel cloud touching down on film, and are positive we had at least one Tornado touch down possibly 2 or 3!!!
JoAnne was driving to Maine, wonder how she is making out.
had a huge t-storm come through in the middle of the night - lit up the whole house - not much rain and my wife slept right through it
Jo was headed to Rockland, thats only 45 minutes to an hour from me, she should be fine. The storms were worst in Cumberland, and York counties....down in the Southern part of the State. Rockland is considered Mid-Coast, my DD and niece live in the Tornado path....haven't heard from either yet. Not worried as no humans were injured in the storm. A barn collapsed and trapped the livestock , all got out and are OK except a pig and one cow.
Hope everyone made it through the nasty weather okay. We had only light rain for about 10 minutes, barely a quarter inch of accumulation. Most of the storms that headed this way got rung out when they passed over the hills north and west of here. Temp now is 73 degrees and the wind is from the north at 5 mph. The humidity has dropped and the air is much nicer but the muggy stuff will be returning tomorrow they say.
Holy cow...glad i was not in the Southern part of the State......
"The National Weather Service will send a survey team to inspect damage from Wednesday's storms. They will determine whether the damage is consistent with that of a tornado or microburst. They will also provide wind estimates. In our opinion by looking at the radar and eyewitness accounts a tornado likely touched down in Limerick, Standish, and Gorham. Possibly Buxton and Westbrook too. We'll be looking forward to their report today. Regardless, last nights storms caused lots wind damage around the area. ..."
Glad you missed that, Pix....our damage was probably caused by straight-line winds, but there are reports of tornadoes to the north & east of us. I heard from JoAnn....she's been in Maine a few days now & is enjoying herself. Victor, hope you enjoy FL....the kids will be excited for sure.
Glad she having a good time, thanks for letting us know Robin :)
Victor have a great trip, I don't want to hear/read any headlines where a N.Y. man stalks a Princess @ Disney!!!
ROTFL!
There were THREE detours on the way to work this morning. Thanks to GPS I was only 15 minutes late. Torrential rain at my house - but no damage.
Wow crazy weather glad everyone is OK
81° 62% humidity high of 91 expected
82*F Sunny 67%, Gonna be another hot one. Have a good time Victor but don't go Goofy on us, or you could end up exiled to Pluto. LOL Ric
Hee hee! Thanks, all.
Glad everyone survived the storms. My sons' art teacher had a tree come down. Luckily it just missed her car.
78 and sunny. Nice breeze. 60% H.
When ya leaving?
Glad to hear it, Memory...your city was hard hit by the last tornado! Took the dogs behind the dam for their daily walk....good thing I had taken them yesterday morning....lots of damage including several trees down, & some large branches on the trail where I walk Robs. I managed to heave them off, & remove lots of deadwood from the road where I walk Suey.
We had ominous thunder and some lightning after we went to bed last night. It sounded like we got some rain with it, but this morning my David phlox and many other plants were shriveling from being so dry. So glad to hear everyone is ok!
Pixie - ahhhh, yes.....Jasmine indeed! I remember now......it must be my actively advancing age that made me forget that one! LOL
Wow Robin! You dodged a bullet yesterday!

Well it's been confirmed, a Tornado touched in Maine, F-1 left a 5 miles wide path, lasted 12 minutes and had 90 mile an hour winds!
Yes, Phoebe.....that cell passed right over the house....I'm on the Plymouth line, & that's the path it took....there were trees down in Thomaston, & power outages...can't believe I was so lucky...Pixie, that's the same strength tornado that hit Bristol, CT, & the damage was very great......very lucky there were no injuries.
Don't know about you Robin, but im thanking my lucky stars!
Just heard we had 2 confirmed Tornado's!!
Pretty frightening stuff! Thankfully, everyone's ok!
We had a confirmed water spout. (lol)
Oh my goodness, sounds like we're in Kansas
I heard 3 in Maine on the news. Perhaps 3rd not confirmed.
wow - that's scary
They were talking 3 but I hadn't heard it confirmed, thank you Iris. Really kinda of scary...not known for those here but seem to have increased 10fold in the last few years!
Now they are saying 4 confirmed tornadoes in CT--I'm moving!
3T confirmed in Maine. Last one near Gorham. Damage, but no one hurt was the report.
I cannot remember so many tornados and severe T-storms as this area has had in the last few years and I have lived here all my life. The weather is certainly getting stranger. Today should be low 80s with showers in the afternoon. One more plant to get in the ground then wait for some much needed rain. Current temp is 65 degrees.
The earth is angry...
75°, wind NW 0.0mph, Rh 80%, mostly cloudy
73*F @79% cloudy with 30% chance of Tstorms high of 92*F predicted. If the humidity goes any higher the air will be dripping. Ric
