David was home last week, and I did tell him. His dad had a scare this week, a piece of plaque lodged in his eye and he lost vision in it. He's getting lots of tests, so waiting for results.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 74
Oh boy. Hope he is better. That's scary.
Glad all went well and a good time was had by all Victor.
Stupid hot again. Was 90 degrees on the car temp gauge coming home from nursery this afternoon. Hope we get some showers this evening or tomorrow. Need a break from this heat and so does the garden.
the best to dad Deb
Sounds like fun, Victor! Glad you enjoyed it!
Debi - hope David's Dad's tests come out well. Sounds scary!!

Hope all goes well for David & his Dad....still 82 here....weeded a little, but the bugs defeated me.
a little is better than none, Marilyn. I did no weeding today, and thoroughly enjoyed that fact! :)
Good for you Louise! Our church picnic was today, so after all that sitting, I had to do something.
thanks everyone
Hope his eye heals fast, Deb

Here's a little something that made me chuckle this morning.....
100 Years Old
When a grandmother was in her late eighties, she decided to move to Israel. As part of the preparations, she went to see her doctor and get all her charts. The doctor asked her how she was doing, so she gave him the litany of complaints.
This hurts, that's stiff, I'm tired and slower, etc.
He responded with, "Mrs. Siegel, you have to expect things to start deteriorating. After all, who wants to live to 100"?
The grandmother looked him straight in the eye and replied, "Anyone who's 99."
Saw you guys had some bad storms, they missed us completely. Glad you've got your power back, hope all is well w/Louise.
(Funny joke!)
75°, wind NNW 2mph, Rh 90%, partly sunny
- yes, the storm was very 'electrical' in nature, (lol)
We still could use another inch of rain here though, - more thunderstorms are predicted for tonight..

Sorry to hear about the storm-related problems. We certainly need a lot more rain here.
79 and sunny. 75% H.
It POURED in Bridgeport yesterday in the early evening. POURED! The two stray cats I feed were smart enough to climb into the house I had built for them on the front porch and they were dry. Good kitties. The rain gutters could not handle the amount of water coming off the roof and were overflowing. I bet the rainbarrel in the back is full again - yippee! The best part was I got my nematodes put out. Take that you grubs! A couple hours after I put out the nematodes there was a gentle rain that washed the little guys off the leaves and into the soil. Now I hope they were alive as I had been storing them in a cool place for two weeks after they arrived . . . I guess time will tell.
Storms missed us last night
Hope you get your power back soon, Sherrie
Clouds rolling in right now
87° 54% humidity
A few drops yesterday, a few drops today...storms are going to the north & south of us....this is not good, we need rain. Glad you saw some, Memory, & glad you escaped the worst, Sherrie.
Some sprinkles here a few mins ago
Interesting to read everyone's weather. the computer has been down for a few days--fighting security systems evidently. Got that changed. I planted out some iris seedlings which had been sitting in the shade while it was so hot. No rain last night, watched the storm warnings for everyone else on channel 5.
Glad you're back!
Thank you--me too.
Hope your seedlings do well, Iris....isn't it awful about the rain? You either get hammered, or nothing....nothing here.
