Up to 93 here. 53% H.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 74
94*F @46%. Finished the trim mowing, it took 3 trips out, or 3 trips in (to cool off), which ever. Now it's tractor time, the nice part is the tractor doesn't need heat breaks. LOL Ric
It's 88 right now, very humid, slight breeze......want to weed but maybe in a few hours.
76 degrees and very little humidity in my cubicle. :)
GROSS here
I am so sick of all the rain storms going around me! It has been weeks since I've had any rain I can measure. Why did I buy all those new trees that have to be watered, in addition to the regular gardens??
thunder and lighting as i type - rain starting!!! Yea!
It rained for 5 minuets this morning. First time in weeks. Now its all hot and sticky. 84 in the shade. 105 here at work.
Reading Kirby's 105 post makes me love Maine all the more!!
73 right now but have 83% humidity.
Very humid here, even after the storm. I'm getting a headache from the high humidity. Ugh. Bill is getting what we had now......hope it comes down heavy for you too, Bill. We got a pretty good soaking. It's still almost 80 here.
Its not the temperature here that scares me.... its the taxes.
LOL Kirby!
Well spoken! LOL
We got a full hour of heavy, soaking rain (Friday) last night.
You could amost hear the plants say, "Ahhhhhhhh..."

More heat and humidity and to make things more miserable we missed the heavy rain most of the state got last night. A light short shower that didn't make it passed the top layer of mulch, at least no wind and hail either so it is a good trade off I guess, The garden is certainly looking as droopy as the gardener feels. I hate to say this in the middle of the garden season but I could do with a little cool fall temps and dry refreshing air about now. Only thing looking happy in the garden is the weeds. Temp now is 77 degrees , light NW wind icky and sticky humidity. Spending time inside with ac plotting the fall removals and transplants.
I have to agree, Pat.....72 here now, not a drop of rain yesterday, weatherperson said lower humidity, but higher temps......going up to the farm this afternoon....hope to pick a few blueberries.
81°, wind WNW 8mph, Rh 62%, partly sunny
- I can skip August and go right into September as far as I'm concerned...
had some fast moving rain last night - still have the sprinklers going to combat this heat/humidity wave
Lovely arrangement...the best that nature provides...!
Thank you, BA!! :)
A beautiful bouquet and a lovely token of celebration.
82 here, humidity hasn't risen yet.
Very pretty bouquet.
Rained last night .02"
91° 39% humidity partly cloudy
Thanks, Pat and Jen....the wife used to write a gardening column for the local paper here, so I think she'll like them. There are supposed to be no gifts, but I just can't go to things empty-handed.
Flowers are always appreciated, Louise....you're very thoughtful! Hot at the farm today, but a strong breeze at times....hit 90 here.
Nice bouquet Louise!
Hit 91 here today
Thanks, Celeste! She did like the flowers. She had put together beautiful small "tin can vases" of colorful flowers for everyone to take home. It was a nice time despite the heat!
86°, wind NNW 6mph, Rh 50%, mostly sunny
the 'broiler' is heading towards max temp @ 92° today
Temp is 84 degrees already. Light west wind and maybe a smidge less humidity. Bright sunshine, maybe a slight chance of a shower later. Every little bit helps. Better shot at real rain tomorrow afternoon. Going to nursery later to browse for fall replacement plants.
88° with 57% humidity high is supposed to be 93°
90 with 38% H.
Had a great time at my game yesterday. Best turnout we ever had. I drank too much and was not feeling great this AM, but am fine now. The heroes were great but there was a lot left over. One six-footer would have been perfect. We had two.
It was hot yesterday, but not humid and there was a great breeze all day.
Sounds like a lot of male bonding went on.....you need that every so often....my DIL is going on vacation with a bunch of girls, & I told her to have fun, & forget mothering for awhile....she hasn't been away from those kids in 5 years. Hot here, 90, sunny. Wicked microburst storm to the north of us yesterday, lots of damage. Here, just black skies for awhile, but nothing else.
It was a great time for all since most of the guys bring their wives and kids.
Oooh....family bonding...that's good too!
I really wanted to get down there this weekend, but couldn't. Glad you had a good day.
Yes, I missed you, Deb. Also, sorry I did not ask you to remind David. I was so busy this time with planning that I completely forgot!
Saw a number of friends I had not seen in years. We blocked the street from traffic so it was great not to have to worry about getting run over.
