Thank you. I seen several pictures from MrCrocosmia while viewing plant file pictures of these plants and trying to figure out exactly which one I have. You and I may be in limbo for a while on knowing exactly which ones we have.
Tropical Garden #78
haha...D's SO is just as bad as me about plants, he's ready to bring the Orchids in if it even thinks about dipping into the 50 's .
joeswife, thanks , those lime zingers always brighten up the garden. I am through planting for the season. I have to get up around 5am to start watering to get good water pressure. By noon I am exhausted. The newly planted plants will have a hard time getting established in this heat.
Happy_1, you crack me up!! I don't think that they make plastic Coleus.
Tobee43, How exciting for you with a new house to decorate and a new yard in Florida. Life is Good!!
It is nice that you can get your Amaryllis to bloom that many times for you. What type of rocks do you use?
Metrosideros, I write my comments, attach my pictures, minimize, until I had all three done, then send.
MIA ?
couldn't get the quote thingy to work... but prita's quotes:

prita..i'm certain if there is plastic coleus happy found it....or snip a piece off from the $1 store and got it to grow!! LOL!!!
well....prita...it's kinda of a double edge blessing...we were preparing to retire in about another 5 years but it just kinda came up on us quicker...so we r surely blessed but i'm gettin a bit old for this stuff........after being in the same house for over 30 years i can tell u two things for certain after this move....
1. i'm disappointed the property wasn't full of concrete and blacktop !! LOL
2. the ONLY box that is ever leaving this house will have ME in it!!
i just used decorative natural looking stones (like you get at michaels etc) and fill up nice looking clear glass vases (i try to keep unusual vases)...fill them up and put the bulb to rest on the top of the stones...at first i do fill it with just a bit of water and then that's it... once they bloom...i cut back all the dead stuff and begin the process all over...
i do that with crocuses as well... i have cute little vases for them that the top opening just holds the bulb... they really looked cooler when they were blooming right in the middle of a northeast winter in the snow :)

tobee43,
Jeeze, you guys are just too darn clever...........my idea of a vase is a washed iced coffee bottle from Starbucks that you buy at the convenience store.( after I drank it)
LOL!! that could work too!!!
