I hear they do well in shade or sun and they would help draw hummers? Mine are still little or maybe even cleome.. Both of those should be year round where you are.. hmm let me get my thinking cap going!

Susan, Thank You. There is going to be a Memorial for Bob in a couple of weeks. He is being cremated. He did not leave any kind of insurance so we don't know how his kids are going to pay for the cremation. Come July 31st my ex son-in-law will be out of a place to live. Bob was living in an apt for disabled people and Tony can not live there. Besides Tony does not have a job and has not worked in years. Tony is my grandson's father.

Hmm Donna I do have a Bee Balm but it is planted out front and I do have some Cleome seeds. Guess I'll have to go to HD ^_^

Wow Cindy, that's tough. I hope everything goes good for Tony, that's horrible.

Hobby Lobby is having a huge huge sale on all of their garden items everyone!! My next door neighbor bought one of those wrought iron bird feeder hangers that stick in the ground like a post that are normally $20.00 for $5.00 yesterday! Tons and tons of stuff on sale.

Cindy-I have Jacobs Ladder, Monkshood, hydrangea and toad lilies planted in my shade beds that flower. I also have tiarella and dianthus, but my bee balm and cleome are in full sun....

oooh Toad Lilies those are so pretty I need to get some. I do have 2 Hydrangeas to plant
hmm don't know what Tiarella is............or what the others look like will need to look them up

LOL Taylor has asked me to teach her how to sew YIKES!!!!! Guess I need to find a childs sewing machine for her. Darn wished she would have asked me before her b-day that would have been a nice present for her.

My 16 y/o DGD keeps asking me to teach her something more than just "chain" crocheting....not sure this ole nana is up to that!

Sure you can!! If I can teach the basics to a 7 yo you certainly can teach a 16 yo. LOL Besides you do much nicer crochet than I do--my work is to tight at times.

You can do it, just think of the love being shared between the two of you when she makes her first scarf, or sweater?

Well, you all make me want to try, that's for sure. Now just to get her here so we can have the time together to learn it!

I am feeling better for having complete rest...... and because the rain has stopped, it's not Quite As Humid. We also got rid of our mister/humidifier in our bedroom so I'll bet that helped, too. Thank you for all your prayers - I'm not completely better and it will take time that I have, thanks to my vacation time.

Now, to get sloooowly back to doing things - 1st thing is to find stuff for camping next week, including our camping dishes, and heavy clothing for the nighttime.
It will be soooooo great to get out of the city. My DH suggests we take a tiny TV because we'll be gone for about a week. We'll be have a huge power plug-in because it is RV-capable in the campsite.

LOL Susan! I'm doing what I don't love best here at work LOL!!

I just talked to Kathy. She just got back from her Dr. They got the results of her stress test and she has to go in tomorrow morning for another test on her heart. They said the bottom part of her heart doesn't appear to be working. If that's the case, it's probably not treatable, she said.

SO, PRAYER WARRIORS!! Time to get busy!

Oh I'm sending lots and lots of prayers! I am so sorry to hear of this horrible news.

Getting busy and oh how I hated to read that post Cookie. I think of her all the time but I am absolutely the world's worst about getting on the phone and calling. I think it is due to the time I spend with festival calls.

Heat warnings here today so guess I will stay indoors and enjoy the a/c and having a washing machine---yet again.

Well, I got the rag quilt done, and a dress! Can you tell she like the princess theme? This is for my son's girlfriend's daughter. She will be 3 on Saturday.
This is the front and the back of the quilt.

This is the dress I put together. The fabric came already scrunched, I just cut extra fabric, and made the straps.

I read on facebook, that Kim's road construction company is on strike, so they are not getting any pay while they are picketing.
Please say a prayer that they come to an agreement soon.

That's weird since you usually get paid a small nominal fee when you show up to picket while on strike...hmm....still sucks that even if they get did that little bit it isn't their full days pay. I have been reading her posts on FB and haven't seen why they are picketing yet.

Interesting day we'll have today. The local sheriff's been up early this morning taking down reports up and down this stretch of road about 5 miles long.
The mail box bandit strikes again last night in our neighbourhood, but the shop's and ours mail boxes weren't harmed. Those vandals must be aware that we have surveillance cameras.

Cookie, you'll be getting something from eBay.. hopefull it's today.

Stacey, you're probably right about it being a tiarella...I stole it from Bertie...well, not really, when I watched their house for a week I told her I would be helping myself to some of her plants and that she wouldn't even miss them. I did...and she didn't! It bloomed for Bertie before I helped myself to a start. Seems like it was foamy white with maybe some pink at the base...that's just from memory so could be WAY, WAY off!

Jaye...I have you number now, girlfriend!! ^_^

Kathy is supposed to call me again after she gets her results. She said they will know right away after the test. Michael came home to take her.
