I remember a place down the street from where I worked in Fresno that had these giant burritos that we would get for breakfast sometimes for like $2, they had beans, rice, sauce, and either pollo asada or carnitas for your meat choice. I swear they were as big as my forearm!!LOL The other girl and I sometimes got and shared one-YUMMM-now my mouth is watering!!LOL

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

You are making me hungry--for burritos!! Love those things.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
I will be at the sewing machine most of the day. Gotta get a twin size rag quilt done for a birthday gift. 96 9 inch squares.
Hope you all had a good nights sleep.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

WOW LK you sure will be busy. We will need pictures after this marathon!!!!

(Chris) Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

Good morning everyone! Going to be a busy, long day for me too :) I was up until almost midnight putting together some things for work. Then was up at 5:30 to finish things up before leaving for work..will be there till 3 and then going to the local farmer's market till 7:30 tonight. I'm going to set up a table and sell cookbooks for our domestic violence shelter at the market.. wish me luck! I'm being optimistic and taking 50 cookbooks with me. :)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Chris thinking positive is the first step in sales!!! Good luck

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning ladies.
Another scorching hot day today, and mercifully my errands were all done yesterday... except for one.

Barb.. I see now your LSU FQ sitting on the sewing table!! I'll get that mailed tomorrow, so sorry.

LK, you're the queen of rag quilting!! Maybe you should get that die cutter, Accu Go? Betty said it's the best thing if you're into rag quilting, it saves a lot of time.

Chris, there are many cookbook collectors and I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling them.
I'm an avid collector :D

Have a wonderful day ladies, try to stay cool.

(Chris) Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

I was given orders to come over here and show Jaye my latest baby pics :) You know how I hate to show Kailey off! lol..

Kailey is almost 9 months old and starting to pull herself up to stand by the couch..won't be long she'll be walking :) She absolutely adores her mom's cat Bart..who puts up with her quite well LOL.. in this pic, DD had just told Kailey to be nice to the kitty..isn't she the pic of innocence?? It's like "What? I'm not doing anything"

Edited to change how I worded that first part.. sounded funny before :)

These pics were taken with my phone camera, so sorry they're a little fuzzy.. close ups do that, but distance ones don't.

Anyway, in this next one..she realized my purse was on the floor and did this funky "sitting up crawl" thing to get over to it. Again, looking over at her mom to see if she was going to say anything..that's a smart baby lol

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Will needless to say I just order a chicken dinner for Rick to go pick up........LOL.Too hot to cook ! We don't have Air ~~ Whew Wee !

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Wow....I can't imagine not having air today...Heat index of 107 here this afternoon....melting!!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Synda, what happened to the horse?
How is your Uncle Jerry? Did the other guy have insurance I hope? OUCH!

Passing you the bottle of bailey's. I think you need it!

A few (((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) too!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

The Horse slipped or twisted wrong and tore the ligaments in her hip.The vet said she'll get better but it will take a long time, and will always be an easy spot to hurt again. She can't put any weight on her hind leg....and she is pretty big.

Yes the other guy has Insurance but I'm sure he'll lose his license,he is a bad diabetic and has been almost blind for years.....Jerry has a concussion .He was knocked out of about 15 minutes after the accident and woke up very combative ,that is why they Life Flighted him and a banged up knee, they are waiting on the swelling to go down to see if anything is torn. From his knee to his hip is swelled.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh my... LK.. I think you should leave the bottle with Synda.
Synda honey, it seems your nerves are truly tested. Hope your report next will be that you hit the lottery and soon you'll be off to Cancun!!
A Calgon moment there!
Seriously, I do hope your scan will show something that the doctors can work with to help restore your life back to normal.

Thank you Chris!!! Whoever 'demanded' that you post Kailey's pictures here.. thank you too!
She's certainly learning very young to act all that innocent with the kitty!!
I bet she didn't sit calmly in that stroller either.. her face looks like she's waiting for her royal entourage to start pushing!!
She'll take over your apartment once she starts walking good!!

My internet service is horrendous today. Been having a difficult time trying to stay connected! Poor Kel will just have to do without FB today!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Arrrrghhhh... it's TurtleChi's b'day today!!
Susan, if you're lurking.. Happy Birthday lady. Hope your chis got you a nice present and you celebrate your day with much laughter at work..and at home!

Good night all. Hope my ISP will work better tomorrow :(

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready. How about some toaster struedel today, strawberry and cream cheese.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Boy did we get some much needed rain-so much that a lot of the streets here flooded and cars were stalling out trying to go through it-morons...we lost power in the middle of the night, so I didn't sleep well-will be staying inside due to high humidity and heat, so will probably take a nap.

Had an OB appt yesterday-everything went well. She said the ultrasound from 2 weeks ago looked good and that he was 1lb, 4oz at the time-n the 58% for weight:) So a little big, but not like I will be trying to push out a 10lb baby or anything:)

OMG Synda-sounds like you were super busy and then the accident-sure your nerves are tested. And I can't believe you don't have AC-I would absolutely die w/o it......I know dramatic, but really, with the heat we have had lately I seriously wouldn't be able to cope.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Tink, have you received your package?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stacey, my two boys weighd 9lbs, 4 oz, and 9lbs, 14 oz! You never know how big they will be, and they were 2 and 4 weeks early. Natural birth also, so spinal or meds of any kind! They did not believe in doing that back then!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

http://www.us-passport-service-guide.com/passport-fees.html

Passport fees go up on 13 July.

If anyone needs a passport, I suggest you get it now.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh no LK-I am all about the drugs-LOL. I was like 6lbs and I don't remember how big Chris was, but he was a month late.

Auntie M-I haven't gotten the mail this week-will check it today since I have to go to the PO and mail out fabric to Barb that I am late in sending.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh no, I thought the confirmation said it was delivered to your house yesterday. I didn't use a PO number, should I have?

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

No-we have the things at the end of the street that all the mail goes in-we don't get individual mail boxes at each house. I just don't get it every day-more like once a week-since it is usually on the opposite end that I come and go from:)

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

LK you are soooo bad!!!!
I just posted 'elsewhere' that I had a Mickey D apple pie for lunch and now I'm hungry again!!! I'll take that cream cheese spread on my piece of tortilla instead of duck pate'!!

I'm still having issues with ISP. Drats.. must be some underground wires being hacked by a back hoe or something!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hello!!!
Great news Crissy. What kind of job is it?

Well Doug just came back from doctor. He has a disc compressing on the nevers in his neck. Doc ordered MRI but don't know if the county will pay for it. But the doc says it is bad enough to where they just might. I think this will help Doug get he's SSD. I am going to go down there next Thurs and stay until Tuesday. We might go to the sprint car races.
Ok I need to get busy and dig the hole some more for the 250 gallon fish pond.

TTYL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

It's a Buyer/Planner position. NASCAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, don't over do it, that sounds like a huge hole to dig.
How is your Momma doing? Healing well I hope?
Cindy, that is great news about hubby. Sounds like a nice job.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LK, mom is doing real good. Is able to drive herself now. But can not stand a long time. Yesterday we went shopping for Taylors b-day and with in a half an hour she was having pain. Doug has one of those walkers that has seats in it. I'm going to get it when I go down next week. No I won't over do it and yes it is a big job. The dirt is red clay and it is a bugger to dig. So I got out the big rototiller, but even with that it is still hard to do. I think I need to soak it a little then dig.

Here is a pix of the other pond. I cleaned all the weeds out from behind and rototillered, planted cannas, 2 butterfly bushes Pink Delight & Black Knight, then added other plants that I have in pots. This pond has about 11 little fish in it, the biggest being about 2 inches. These were babies that I was able to save from when I lived in Marysville. A racoon had gotten my female right after she laid the eggs. Little did I know that there were babies until I started to empty the pond. Out of 37 babies only 7 made it thus far.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

oops forgot the pix, lol silly me
