JoAnn I really like the lily shots that you have over time. Makes a nice record. Your DL collage is also very pretty specially that dark DL in upper L corner. Looked through the rest of the garden pics and I do like those trelliises and your sky high lilies.
Bill love that hydrangea and echinacea combo. Also all the HH. That echie after TS may be 'Hot Lava', it has those little wisps around the cone.
Lovely white blooms and love that ray of sun coming through the echies and daisies.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

good eye i think it is hot lava

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks Pat,the dark DL is Chocolate Cherry Dream.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

The echies are looking luvly. Ditto on luving the combo of the echs with the hydrangea. Your gardens are looking so lush and green all despite the heat wave!

Thomaston, CT

Mine are not, which is why there's no photo...plants are very stressed. Bill, those 2 blooms on Coral Reef are so different, but both are nice....Rama, I love the carpet rose...the buds are such a contrast to the flower....Mmm, Jo, Chocolate Cherry looks good enough to eat.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

You bet and I agree with you about the heat and no pix. Everything is a bit wiltie.Lilies are having a tough time. Hope we dont get wind on top of everything else.

Just recieved this from B&D Lilies

Have not taken pics for a few days now. I'm the wilting one!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

If I dont photo before 6:30 AM its a lost cause.
Lilies are popping open faster as I have observed.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Jo...hand picking is not effective here....too many lilies, too many many beetles...Neem oil doesn't work, either.....must get the toxic stuff!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have heard about the Neem oil failure from several people.
I use 2 types Bayer Rose and Flower insect spray and Sevin.I am very careful about the dilution of Sevin as I love bees too. I spray the ground early in spring where the lilies are emerging, around the knobs, thats where the Beetle larva are emerging.I use Sevin then.I use Bayer at times when I see the beetles. There is a mid summer second wave of new ones but I use Bayer then too.
This has worked for me for 2 years. I cant remember which DG'er posted her method. It made sence.

Forgot my collage of front garden lilies. I believe the OT is Shocking.I confused the tags and it was tagged Red Dutch.Someone pointed out the error, but since last year I have forgotten again.

Last years Torches and lilies. The lilies have shot up a couple of feet so I might not be able to get the same view this year without killing myself.

Good article on the red devils JoAnn. I hand pick in early spring, check for eggs and use insecticidal soap on the nasty babies. Also grouped most lilies in one area so checking is quicker. Numbers have decreased a lot since they first arrived here. Knowing what to look for before they can increase their numbers each year has helped a lot.
Nice lilies out front for you too JoAnn. That torch lily combo is very pretty, perhaps a vertical shot will capture them together again or a nice collage pic, yes.
A few shots from this morning before it got too hot.
This is my fav view in the early morning right now.

Prettiful early morning pic of the circle bed. Very peaceful.

Thomaston, CT

Just love Tiki Torch with the matching frit on them...nice photo! Here are some annuals that are blooming where I planted mixed pkgs, so I have no idea what they are.....this may be corn cockle.....

And this is a mystery to me.....

Lovely mystery plant Marilyn.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Jo....I'm hoping someone can identify it....someone on the DL thread ID my mystery DL as Carnival Mask....how could I forget that? Senior moment!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Nice fuchia colour. I hope you find out what it is.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks...me too!

Malvern, PA(Zone 6b)

Nice shots guys. Endless summer looks fried in the heat. Pat whats in the trellis of your peaceful morning circle bed, love the gentle hermione.
Joann nice DLs and the kniphofia. I tried to grow them from seeds and they just didn't germinate. Love your mystery flower, kinda looks like a phlox.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

More pretty lilies JoAnn, like the pink and white combo.
Sorry no help with the name of the mystery plant but it is very pretty.
The vine you can see on the umbrella trellis is a clematis 'Avant Garde'. There are three more baby clems. One on each side. Another AG on the opposite side and two 'Princess Diana' clems on the other two sides.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

I haven't had a chance to check in here. Been so busy in my gardens. Everyone's pics look really nice. Lots going on.

I have lots of pics to post. I don't want to hijack the thread. I'll try and post just the best. First I want to catch up a bit.

Tex, I love that 'Eyeliner', 'Le Reve', 'Tom Pounce' and 'Royal Sunset' (looks great with orange tiger) lilies. 'Pink Poodle' echi is wonderful! I love the crepe myrtles, too. More things to add to my wish list. Gorgeous! Your gardens are so colorful. That 'Peaches And Dreams' HH is one I've always wanted, but yours looks pink rather than peach. Is that just how it photographs? Cool troll (or whatever he is) and redheads! 'Lord Of Rings' is a great DL! Those arrangements you put together are fantastic!

PollyK, I love JI's 'Belgian Warrior' and 'Hegira'. More wish list items!

Victor, your Mona Loa DL is hot! I have that one, too, and it's a favorite.

Sherrie, I love your Gloriosa daisies. I have those, too. They sure add some bright color to the gardens.

JoAnne, love that iris painting. Your lilies are gorgeous, too! Your gardens are looking wonderful.

Luvs, those perennial snaps are great!

Ooohhhh! Cousin Nut, we can relive spring now with the pics from your gardens. Guess the skunks like your place, eh? That yellow honeysuckle is a stunner! Name? Is it a fragrant one? That 'Spacecoast Tiny Perfection' looks so adorable! I'd love to get that myself. Sounds like it's really loaded with buds, too. Just an FYI, it was hybridized in Florida, so may not be hardy in your area, and maybe not even in mine.

Celeste, that 'First Crown' lily is outstanding! Another for my wish list. That is some massive baby's breath you have there! 'Longlesson Caprice' looks great with it. Love the shot of the wine red DL's with the foxgloves. Brian's dahlia sure is a pretty one. That 'Giraffe' lily is stunning! 'Desert Song' is really nice, too. Nice rainbow shot! Huge bummer about the car!!!!!! Will insurance replace it? What an amazing field of lupines!

Patti, I like your 'Fancy Crown' lily, as well as the bright yellow, and the light yellow with the dark speckles. Very nice! Oh, and I absolutely love 'Megan'!!!!! Wonderful!!!! I also love 'Cannes' and 'Cancun'. That looks nice with the impatiens along the stream.

Pensacola, Picasso is the cutest bloom in your garden!

Rama, I love your bright sunflower shot. Cute patriotic puppy. Is that your hubby in the shot? The daisies and echis shot with the sun ray is great, and so it the one of the tiger lilies.

SOJ, love your shots of the pond and waterfall, and especially the waterlily and frog. Great! Love the close-up of the frogs, too.

Jen, love the coleus shot. The pansies shot looks almost like a painting. That gorgeous orange DL with the bright red eye isn't Black Eyed Stella. I'm not sure which one it is, but it sure is nice.

Marilyn, that pink, puffy poppy is really nice! Love the golden creeping jenny, too.

Pat, love the moth and 'Green Envy' echi shots. Also great shot of 'Tiki Torch' and visitor.

Bill, I love your daisies and HH's. Love the monarda and echis, too. The color on the blue hydranga is wonderful!

Well, that took me a long time to catch up. Now I have time to post only a few things. Will post more tomorrow and try to check in more often.
