Talk About Ruffles
Garden Blooms - 23 1/2
You can certainly tell it's July when you see Karen's daylilies. Gorgeous! I just started some hybrids this year. All I had before were the 'de Oros'. So I don't expect much bloom from them this year. Maybe next year.
I'm quite disappointed with my Peaches n' Dreams HH. I thought finally a peach one with double blooms, something unique and different. Mine is more like pink without a hint of peach. It's still a sight to see.
Thanks, Tex! You'll be happy with you new DL's, I'm sure. Be patient, though. They really start looking great their 3rd year.
Too bad about the PAD HH. Maybe it was mislabled when you bought it. That happens. The one's I've seen in the catalogs are definitely peach, unless they've doctored the photos.
Here's Dark Star.
Karen - that's what draw me with the HH. The colors in the photos the way it's advertised. Though one website did mention it may have a tint of raspberry pink. Like what you said, it may have been mislabeled. Or it could be due to the extremely hot weather we're having.

WOW, Karen b e a u t i f u l
Nice to see you Karen .Thanks for the pix.
Karen,
it is quite a show. Love them all, too hard to single out. Yes, its my husband with of our patriotic puppy. I love the long shots and the shot with your swing and the hammock, very inviting.
Beautiful blooms, Karen! Who has more DL's, you or Celeste??
Great zinnia, Robin.
Morning, everyone! Thanks for all the nice comments. Glad everyone liked my pics.
Marilyn, my Startle is usually very streaky, too. It from thrips. I get it all the time on that one and others. There are some I have very few nice looking blooms on. I'm thinking of spraying for them next year, but you have to start early with a systemic spray when the bloom scapes are first developing. I don't like using harmful chemicals, but I wouldn't be using it on all the DL's, just the ones that get the damage all the time. I will have to start writing down which ones they are. It's just a handful out of the hundreds that I have, so not a really big deal. Thinking of spraying for the iris borers next year, too, or getting rid of the TBI's. Hmmmmm....if I got rid of everything that got damaged by insects every year just to avoid treating them, that would be all the oriental and Asiatic lilies, all the TBI's and some of the DL's. Oh, and the roses, which I have very few of.
Pretty zinnia. You got rain? Was it enough? Everything is bone dry here. Many plants are wilting something awful. I spend up to 2 hours a day watering all my potted plants and stuff that's still getting established. And I spend a lot of time weeding. Oh, and I must spend at least an hour or more a day taking pics. I take about 200 or more pics every day. Haven't had time to work on any projects.
How many DL's does Celeste have? I have roughly around 900 named/registered ones and a few hundred more NOID's and my mother's hybrids. Will be getting rid of more NOID's at my sales and RU.
Gorgeous lilies, JoAnne!
Here are some more shots.
