Beautiful Allison!! The last one is deserving of a frame!!
Our house is old as dirt, possibly almost 200 years...thankfully we have a good attic...no closets except for the one in our bedroom the previous owner added! I read somewhere that houses used to be taxed on the number of rooms they had and closets were considered rooms...hence no closets! LOL Glad Randy was OK!
Coffee Break #41 - Happy Birthday America!
Whew, Allison! So glad to hear Randy is ok! Yes, time to fix that problem!!
Lovely shots of a nice wedding and lots of family fun! I like that one of you and Randy! Looks like your Dad had lots of fun!! LOL
wow really they taxed a closet???... mean tax people
Louise my dad is a player!!!!... dancing a bunch and complaining how much his knees hurt today... he and mom came to see the puppies tonight.. and brought some good hometown pizza for us.... yummy!!!
and they used to tax by the # of doors, so if you notice that really old houses have those windows that are almost to the floor...well people used to climb thru the windows because they took out their door.
Glad you made it thru your shopping adventure, Allison
From your picture, I'd say you "done good"....lol
It's nice they have something to remember him by, - but I'm sure it's not enough..
Very nice, Jen.
WHEW good to hear Randy is ok onewish. That could have been nasty.
he grumbled something about 2 x 4s and ply wood when I asked him what he was going to do with the hole... I am sure he will make it stronger than it needs to be... always good
He's lucky they did not devour his banana...

ROTFL......he should have been acting nervously!
Glad that Randy wasn't hurt & all people with storms are safe. As you can see, the computer was fixed, problems with the security sites being a bother. I have a new one & off we go. thank you everyone for your kind comments.
anxiety attack or heart attack, how do you tell the difference?????
Why? You're not having symptons, are you?
Think of something else, if it goes away it's an anxiety attack.
Hope all is okay, Jen.
Jen--If you can't tell Call 911--NOW!
Even the Docs can't tell til they run a couple of tests--any Doc will tell you better safe than sorry...
Jen,
If you have rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) episodes, add a daily potassium supplement to your diet, or eat a banana (high in potassium) daily.
Extremely low blood sugar, from not eating, can also cause episodes. Have a balanced snack every 3 hours.
If that doesn't work, get a generic prescription for prozac, while continuing the other 2 suggestions.
(I am not a phsician, I used to get episodes. I have been episode-free for many years now.)
Ok, discomfort(not pain really) in the back of the arm radiating toward the hand, feeling of indigestion(but did not eat a lot), pressure thru out the chest but no pain, cool sweats(but now gone) pain in arm gone now but has settled in the back left shoulder blade, chest still feels a little tight
Heart Attack Symptoms and Warning Signs
If you think you're having a heart attack, call 9-1-1 or your emergency medical system immediately.
Some heart attacks are sudden and intense — the "movie heart attack," where no one doubts what's happening. But most heart attacks start slowly, with mild pain or discomfort. Often people affected aren't sure what's wrong and wait too long before getting help. Here are signs that can mean a heart attack is happening:
Chest discomfort. Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes, or that goes away and comes back. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain.
Discomfort in other areas of the upper body. Symptoms can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach.
Shortness of breath. May occur with or without chest discomfort.
Other signs: These may include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness
As with men, women's most common heart attack symptom is chest pain or discomfort. But women are somewhat more likely than men to experience some of the other common symptoms, particularly shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, and back or jaw pain.
If you or someone you're with has chest discomfort, especially with one or more of the other signs, don't wait longer than a few minutes (no more than 5) before calling for help. Call 9-1-1 or your emergency response number... Get to a hospital right away.
Calling 9-1-1 or your emergency response number is almost always the fastest way to get lifesaving treatment. Emergency medical services staff can begin treatment when they arrive — up to an hour sooner than if someone gets to the hospital by car. The staff are also trained to revive someone whose heart has stopped. You'll
Jen, many women complain of back aches, especially inbetween the shoulder blades....get it chccked out!!!
How do like this??? Hubby fell asleep....real nice!!!
Wake him up!!
That sounds like symptoms of a true cadiac event...Not Good!
Pain in the LEFT arm is a classic symptom of a cardiac event.
Many times, I couldn't tell if I was compounding the symptoms by panicing about what I was experiencing!
A "solution" I would use, although NOT encouraged by health experts (at least that I've come across) is to get inebriated, as long as there was someone to stay sober to contact EMTs etc. Also, alcohol thins the blood. You should take an aspirin immediately, which helps with a coronary event, but an aspirin won't reduce the emotional anxiety
I had over a dozen episodes, several years ago

Jen--ditto what Pixie posted--please call 911--even if you think your symptoms are subsiding. I know what I am talking about--you could still be in danger and you need medical evaluation and care now!!!
Does anyone know Jen's address?
Jen, Phoebes an RN...listen to her!
I remember reading that females are more likely than males to experience back pain (shoulder blade region) as a secondary symptom of a true heart attack event.
The episodes I had were easily the most frightening moments of my life.
Sending positive thoughts and prayers...
Exactly why I posted that BA, back/shoulder pain is much more common in women.

I hope the reason we are not hearing from Jen is because she is in an ambulance. Whether her symptoms are d/t heart/anxiety/or indigestion, it is out of control and needs diagnosing tonight.
Wow - those are many of the classic symptoms. Hope she's gone to the ER.
me too.....
Just got word.....Jen is on her way to the hospital!! Thank goodness!!!!!!!
Whew!!!! Thank God!!!!!!
Now we pray.
Good - hopefully all will be fine.
Two notes:
My initial post was directed towards "rapid heart beat" (tachycardia), which is different from the additional symptoms that Jen elaborated on.
The aspirin is the second action to take (the 1st is to call 911). Also, I remember reading years ago that the aspirin is absorbed much faster if taken in sub-lingual (under the tongue) way.
I have not seen any recent literature on the efficacy of sub-lingual absorption, so that may no longer be recommended. Every household should have a good supply of aspirin on hand, and orange-flavored for kids and sub-lingual, since aspirin tastes hideous.
Back in the 1980's on a TV interview, an expert said (laughingly), the drug companies would never have let aspirin be sold over-the-counter if they knew decades ago how useful it was for heart conditions. The drug companies wanted the top money from prescription prices!
