After most of you sistahs left...my little injun made an offering and we said prayers for ALL the sistahs.

Wish it could have lasted longer.

Hooks were indeed for the chalkboards..yikes, forgot to pass them out didn't I????

Just hope I wasn't too much of a drag, tried to not let the headache get in the way of enjoying all of your company, and that I did...

Nothing better than meeting up with DG Friends and finding out they are exactly as they are on DG...I've many earthly angels in my neck of the woods and I'd be proud for any of you to join us...you've all a part in my heart!

Up and at it, another day of play..it's our Canada Day and of course the Canada Festivities in Elmvale include street sale, flower sale (grower brings in oriental lillies, you know they are a must even with the beetle killing them off) so who knows what treasure I'll find...

In Pittsburg just outside the hotel was a beautiful sitting area...

Indeed a lovely sitting area, and the flower in the middle is pretty, too! Love that outfit, especially since it matches your car!

Please send me the site that you get those fantastic clothes from.. I mean it, I LOVE them!

Cookie, whoa re the ladies in the picture, you have listed 9, but there are 10 in the picture.
I know there are Betty, Judy, Janice, Jaye, Cookie, Stacey, Crissy, and Sue. I don't know the other one's. Must be the daughters?

Robyn is a part of the ORVG as well as Ric, but she doesn't post. Bertie is my neighbor and also a DGer, but her garden is so large that she just doesn't have time to get on in the summer. Doesn't much in the winter either, but she lurks! ^_^

Speaking of hostas....I looked up Buckeye hosta on ebay...nada. Looked it up under plant files, too, and there are no pictures of it. OH CRISSY................I NEED THAT HOSTA!

Yes, I think we all had a great time in spite of some things like poor Betty's sinus problems and my little watermelon feet and Jaye's feet. Now I have to get busy and take pics of everything for the baby as my mom is dying to see it all:)

I finished your blankie last night. Have it all layed out to take a picture of it, but the batteries are exhausted. Can't find the charger..as soon as I do, I'll get it in the mail to you.

Sorry about the name. I have a niece who is Stacy, and I guess it's just habit. I'll change it.

The little hat was from me, Stacey, but I bought it and I think it's knitted instead of crocheted. Wish there had been a little blue in that hat, but in Oct. it will be okay if it keeps his widdle head warm!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!

I am soooooo happy to meet everyone!!! I love you all!!!!!! I had a great time and thank you Joyce for a wonderful wonderful time, you are an excellent hostess! I need to look at that hosta, I don't remember which one it is now but it'll have to wait until next week before I even think about that.

I made it home, Dave's Uncle Roy flew in Tuesday and is staying at our house until he leaves next Tuesday, Dave's cranky and overloaded Tiga on medicine because he can't follow simple instructions, can I come back?????

Apparently it got really bad around here at work, Ms. Cheerful is still sick with who knows what and hasn't asked me how vacation was, didn't say hi, nothing. It's kinda funny that the rest of the office doesn't catch her illnesses. Anyway, with the other two girls who answer the phone gone to a conference and Ms. Cheerful was gone all of the time I was gone, there was no one here to answer the phones, so the director ended up answering the phones, and of course Ms. Cheerful decides to come back to work with a fever when I come back from vacation but doesn't come in with a fever at all when I was gone. Everyone is doing a 'Christine is Back' happy dance! Love it!!

Someone said to put something on the pincushion to keep the glitter from coming off and I don't remember who said it or what they said to put on it. I'm thinking clear nail polish?

Hair spray-the cheaper the better:) Good to see you made it home OK and Isn't it nice to feel appreciated even if you have to leave to get it??LOL

I never get anything from her, neither does anyone else. Not even worried about it, she was sick for 2 weeks before I left and she's still sick.

We are talking about in the head right??LOL My cousin is like that-to be honest I don't like her at all. She is 34, still lives with the grands (has never moved out) and was always a hypochondriac. About 10yrs ago she actually had a job at the local grocery and lifted a 20lb bag of salt. Said she threw her back out and is still "in pain". My grandma still has to help her shower and take care of her. My poor grandma-about 80, with bad arthritis and she is the one taking care of a 34 yr old. Every time I go over there, my cousin looks like she is about 50 and walks like it too. She doesn't get disability because like we all say THERE IS NOTHING THE FREAKIN MATTER WITH HER except what is in her head. Makes me SOOO angry!!! Sorry-little rant.

Sure wish Cindy could have made the trip too. That makes four of us that should have been there, but could not. Marion, sure hope your Sister and Mom are doing better. Kathy if your lurking, hope your doing better too!

OMG, told Liz all about the trip. I just loved ya right off the bat, you are totally just like you post.
Giggling as I say, everyone knows how Liz and I are two peas in a pod, told her I do believe you are the third. Can't wait for you two to meet.

I absolutely LOVE this picture.

Judy LOL I can't wait to meet Liz either! Love that pic! That's great! What's funny is Dave is the same way I am, the more excited we get the louder we get, and when both of us are excited I'm sure we can be heard from inside the house a few miles away.

I'm better, got some Alka Seltzer Cold and Flu going in me with my lunch, and I'm not near as congested as I have been, so it's all good. Ms. Cheerful sounds a lot worse than I do! Ha!

Stacey rant away, I'm going to here! Well I can't seem to leave for 2 days, let alone 6 days, without the house falling apart. Tiga takes 1/3rd of a steriod every third day. The day that I left I cut up 1 pill into 3rds and told Dave to give her 1/3 on Friday and 1/3 on Monday, that leaves 1/3 for tonight when I get home from work. Also had about 20 anti inflammatory chews and told him to give her one chew every 2 or 3 days. I got home last night and all 20 chews were gone, plus all of the steroids were gone. I asked Dave about it and he said, "I gave it all to her just like you said!" OMG You have got to be kidding!!

I don't want to offend anyone as I smoke too once in a while, so please don't be offended but I have to get this out. When Dave dropped me off at the airport last Wednesday I had a full tank of gas with about 50 miles on it. The gas gauge hasn't been registering right so I go by mileage as to when to fill up. Uncle Roy drove Dave to the airport to pick me up last night in his rental so when I got in my car this morning to come to work I was hit in the face with a very pronounced stale cigarette smell gggrrrrrr I was shocked because he never drives my car when I'm gone, never. I looked down at the gas gauge and it was down to 3/4 of a tank and 450 miles on the mileage register!!! He went on a 400 mile road trip and had to gas up before he brought it back home but didn't reset the register! He didn't tell me that he went anywhere so he's trying to be sneaky, but the idiot didn't reset the register when he filled up so I know Exactly how far he went, plus smoked in my non smoking car that I'm going to be selling soon! I'm wondering if he went by the gauge and ran out of gas...hhhmmmmmmm

LOL-Judy is so right-when Crissy gets excited she does get louder and then you start to wonder why she's shouting!!LOL Boy did she have enough energy for all of us though. I was pooped about halfway through the day....

I will take pics, and I am hoping that Jaye will send me the ones she took so I can make an online album so I can add the next set of shower pics to it:)

We always need one or 2 to keep us older gals generated...sure am glad we had them..

Gives one a new perspective seeing and experiencing new things, new friendships through the eyes of one that is so excited..got to love both Judy and Crissy for giving us that opportunity...

I've rested yesterday, now looking at my swap boxes and ooohing/aaahing..lordy I was spoilt.

Aww, Betty, you are adorable! I am really glad we got a chance to visit, I really enjoyed it too.
Sometimes, it's...LOL, Ive been known too to get a little loud when excited, but as you well know, when DH isn't around I surely enjoy playing, sure glad I didn't over do it!

OH, you bet I am ready! Was talking to Liz last night. She's home and doing well, returning to work on Monday!
Anyway Gathering will be 2nd weekend in August!! The cottage can accommodate up to 12 right now, by next year the basement will be done too and more can sleep down there...Yippee, we will Celebrate Jaye's Birthday!! I'd like you to bring, if you are driving is your lawn chair. Have some but not enough for everyone, yikes...Got a couple of places that I think you will enjoy...Oh Betty, you will love the flea markets, they are held every Sunday...ROFLOL, Already have $5.00 in Change saved up from Cookie's gathering!

Oh lil injun, I was so hoping you'd post that picture. That is the Kousa dogwood that is planted in honor and memory of Marion and Ross. We hoped you'd feel the hug when you saw the picture!

So this is hilarious about Dave!
We went out last night as Uncle Roy wanted to take us out to dinner. He got a hotel :) so we met him at the restaurant. I asked Dave about the cigarette smell in my car, he told me this bunch of hoopla that he doesn't understand why the smell is so strong because he just washed it and was smoking around the car in the driveway with the drivers side door open. There's no way that's true but I didn't say anything, I seem to find out more by just not talking. Anyway, Dave told me over dinner that he went out last Saturday, which is perfectly fine, and went to see Josh, who I really like, and Josh is working as a bartender at Crosswalks on Mondays and Thursdays, and asked me if I want to go see him after dinner. Oh heck yea!! So we went over there and while visiting with Josh and Chef Terrell another friend came in and was talking about his and Dave's escapade last Saturday. Dave said, "Oh yea, when I went out Saturday I had him with me." (I forget the guys name but he's really nice and not into getting in trouble.) The guy looked at me and said, "Is your car ok from when Dave jumped the curb?" OMG his friends are telling on him!! Dave blushed and said that he accidentally jumped a curb and told me all about it.

On the way home he told me on his own that he put gas in my car because I left it empty. I purposely left it full so I wouldn't have to get gas until after the holiday. He wants to go out again tonight so I'm going to pick some brains. ]:>)

I'm getting my pictures done la la la la la la!!!!!!!!

These are so good, I think I'm going to order some prints, wonder how much it costs????
