Morning all...Barb, you can just ask Crissy, she'll vouch that all my doors are open for anyone who needs a bed...you tell me when and I'll even put flowers in your room..lol..goes for any of you..love having company..
Still raining, looks like it will be for the entire day, that's great because I planted more shrubs/plants last night and the rest of the garden sure is enjoying..my neighbor across the street who has the lovely garden was over last night, we talked about my moving the plants from around the pond to a different area..she says 'no/no/no' leave them as is..says because most that don't grow over 2' or so and now reach 5' to 6' are telling me they love where they are..so guess between all I keep talking to about changing things don't agree with my thinking..maybe the plants are talking loud and tall as well..lol..
This weekend will be ideal weather so as I've either been away or have had rain on weekends to hamper getting a few more projects done, this weekend will be a work weekend..at least I'm hoping so..
2010 Sistahs reunion at Cookies..the memories! #1
Crissy, just a reminder that I am copying your photo's as you were taking them knowing I'd be sharring..lol..don't want to get into trouble doing so..know I have your permission..
Yes you have my permission. If you would rather I can email them to you.
Maybe you can check to see if you have a disk and download..I'd love to have copies..
I'm not sure if I do, I've never put any pics on a disk lol easier to keep them in the computer, or online in Picasa. Call me Lazy! LOL
Waiving Hidee Hay, All my wonderful Sistahs!!
Boy, I sure miss you all. Still telling about our gathering, hehe, get to tell one more time this weekend!
Loving all the picture everyone has posted.
Sunshine! My goodness, was so sorry to hear of your pond accident, poor baby, I hope your foot is healing well.
Hopeing Betty and Crissy are feeling much better too.
Well, I have been working like there is no tomorrow. But, I now have a nice clean deck! Got on my hands and knees with a bucket of simple green/water and a scrub brush. Took 3 days! My wrists are done in! Have been waiting forever for Steve to power wash, but he has zero time and I couldn't stand walking on the filth any longer...Ahhh, so nice to walk barefoot without feeling like I am going to catch something, Ewww, it was just so gross... Most all the plantings were planted, taking 3 up to the house!
The last I checked in, was watching close, only one of the reddish ones made it, seems to be doing much better...
JOYCE, woohooo finally got roots on the coleous, and ohwah, flowers too, how exciting is that. Also goshdarned deer decided t take a bite in the one with white flowers, bit one off and spat it out, grrr, well at least it left the other alone...
4th of July weekend was insane, and I am glad it's over...Breenie, got in trouble friday night, then on Sunday night...Older one, caused a lot of baffonery! Knocked over Steves Harley, OH MY G!!! So not cool. Approx, 1500 in damage, needless to say they are looking for a second job to pay for the fix...It's a good thing, He Loves her, yikes He left the house until he was calmer.
I am off again, one last trip to the Cottage, Planting my three plants. We have a girl that comes to water and check on house sooo...I can't wait to see how all my little gardens are coming along...We are celebrating the completion with All the guys who worked on the house. If it weren't for them we'd still be working on it. Plus their women are invited!! Steve and My goal is for them to relax, have fun and just enjoy the weekend...We got a Keg of beer, all the food, Steaks, hamburgers, well the works...So, I have been working diligently on laundry, had all the bedding from up there to do...LOL, you know me, last minute but they are done and ready for packing...Plus, I set aside all the stuff so this AM getting it all packed and still have two errands to run then We are on the road by 1:00, get there by 4 and set up before the guys start arriving...Woohoo, my Brother and SIL will be first, so We'll have a nice visit, before everyone else gets there.
OH, also sent in 2 applications! Had to run Breenie to get her Orientation done, Now she has until Monday to get all the Drs. stuff done! As soon as the drug screening is in she is Hired!!! My baby girl's first Job, she'll be working at a Assisted living facilitly in the Cafeteria..
Yikes, got to run now, times is moving quickly.
LOVE YOU ALL, Miss you much.
Armwraps and of Course Peace & Love
Judy
Have a good week-end Judy. Sorry to hear about his Harley getting knocked over. Wow. I bet he was mad for sure!
Judy you neglected to mention the Funeral Date for the one who knocked over the Harley....
LOL, you have to know Steve, it's one of his girls that did it, he stay cool, calm and collected right Judy?
Judy, Everyone tells me not to let the coleus bloom, because it will stop growing, pinch off the blooms, and it will get bigger and bushier. Then when it gets cold, pinch off a few inches from the tips, and root them, for next year.
OMG Judy that's not good to knock over a Harley!!!! Dang I bet he did have to leave to cool down. $1500 worth of damage too.
Dave has a job interview next Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YIPEEE!!! Praying it goes well for him!
Saying prayers for Jobs!!! Hope it will rub off on Norm too. Its now 18 months!!!!!
Wow Barb! That's just nuts. What is his line of work again?
Barb-I sent the fabric yesterday reg mail. Please let me know when it gets there.
Judy-Hope you all have a great time this weekend and YEAH on Breenie's job!!
His was a very specialized job Crissy. He installed multi-million $ NMR systems used by research labs, colleges, etc. NMR means nuclear magnetic resonance and they are similar to an MRI machine only smaller for use in labs. After his first cancer surgery (he was out for 5 1/2 months) he went back to work and was laid off after 4 months returned (the amount of time you must be back before a company can fire you or lay you off). Three months later they found a nodule on his left lung and he had another surgery. Of course the reason given for laying him off was economic circumstances of the company but they kept inept people that cost the company huge amounts of money and let Norm go. So there are no jobs in his line of work. He has taken a course in computers and is now A+ certified and is going for his network certification too. But still no job. The only thing he has been offered are part time ones at minimun wage. His COBRA runs out at the end of the month and I don't know what we will do then. He has to have insurance with all the follow ups for the cancer. Add to that he is a diabetic on insulin so he has two major strikes against any individual insurance policy. He's been turned down by three companies that insure here in NH. And Obama's insurance rules aren't in effect yet regarding pre-existing conditions. I want to wrap him up in a bubble to protect him until this situation changes!!!!!
Barb, that is so sad. Funny how the first thing we want to do with our hubbys is wrap them in "bubbles" to protect them. I remember saying that to someone after Ross was discovered to have aggressive cancer. Hugs and prayers to all.
Crissy - good luck to Dave on his interview!!
Barb - miserable of the company to let go of one of the most productive ones :-( Good luck to him to find another valued job :-)
It's been a few days, so I didn't get to read all the posts. I'm just taking a few moments out to relax from getting place ready for an Open House today in 2 hours.
Got my bronchitis back, and it's a good thing I will be resting cuz I have 2 weeks off, starting now.........
Will go to Dr today to get meds.
Susan, sure hope you get to feeling better real soon. Maybe you need more meds? Hope the open house turns out great, and you get that special buyer for your place.
Waving hello as I'm trying to scan all I've missed. We got up at 4:00 am today to go on a wholesale plant tour. We also hit OSU and their hort people...wow on that one....
I'm still out of work too, and the insurance is too much for us right now. Certainly know what the rest are going through!
Shall I start a new room, ladies?
