Thank you Ronnie :)

Oh, a very happy birthday to the boys! Blushing here when I say labor was all of 15 minutes! Louise, those girls are too cute...and clean! Had to take Robs to the vet today, as he was limping again....vet seems to think it's a soft tissue injury, & gave him an anti-inflammatory....also took some blood as well....will know more tomorrow, I hope.

Mr. G came into the house with 3 spots of blood with the fur/skin gone the size of a dime on his front paw and one on his back paw.

I have racked my brain what he could of gotten into and the only thing I can come up with is the swamp. Possibly a snapping turtle.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

15 Minutes??!!! Geez....my shortest labor was 13 hours and that was #4!
Hope everything turns out OK w/Rob Robin.
Sherry I hope it's not serious....snapppers CAN do damage!

Nope not serious - just some skin gone. I know snappers are bad. It had to been a small one, if it was even one. I just dont know what else it could be? Something scraped him up in the yard/swamp.

not your week Sherrie.. so sorry to hear it

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Ouch Sherrie glad he's OK though.

Thomaston, CT

I'll bet he runs the next time he sees a snapper....I would!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks, Ronnie and Robin!! Wow, Marilyn, 15 minutes???!!! I'd say you're lucky you made it to the hospital!! Hope Rob's tests come back with good news!

Eek, Sherrie - looks like Mr. G did have a tangle with something! Hope the perp is long gone!

Last night when we went to bed, we heard a Mom deer right outside our bedroom windows doing the exhale snort thing to her babies. This morning as I was having my coffee with the girls snuggled on my lap, she appeared with the 2 babies at the top of the meadow....very sweet sight, speaking of tough labor!! LOL The babies are very young!

Thomaston, CT

Oh, how cute.....love baby deer. Saw baby turkeys on Fri., but they're not the cutest. Robs tests are normal, except for low protein levels, which have bothered him in the past...just have to give him more eggs. I was at the hospital way early, Louise....I was induced, & the nurse told me I had contractions, but I never felt them until the end!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Great news about Rob, Marilyn! I hope he is back wreaking havoc very soon. LOL

I'd say that's the way to have a baby, for sure!! Oh, and we also had baby turkeys here on Friday too! :)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Shih tzu--descended from royalty...that's her story and she is (was) sticking to it! LOL--it worked for her!
Thanks Allison. I had a lasha that got caught by a little poodle back in the 80's resulting in 5 beautiful puppies--I loved every minute...and I kept them until they were 12 weeks. All went to wonderful homes.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

12 weeks.... wow... amazing how right now it seems months and months... and it's only 9 weeks tomorrow

Welcome back, Victor! I hope you had a great vacation! I missed you!

Phoebes - the 'real Phoebes' was very lovely! Glad we can see her photo! Royalty, for sure!

Allison - you know you're going to keep all those kids, now don't you??!! You have proven that you thrive on the challenges they bring! Best Puppy Mom EVER!!! You just need to face the truth of the situation. LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Louise! We did have a great time but I'm happy to be back.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

well even though we already thought about it... we can't afford the vet bills for 9 DOGS... and we would need to get a kennel license... don't think so

:)

Details, details!! LOL

Just got back from the Emergency Vet. Everything is OK - just a worried cat mom here. Sampson definitely has a UTI but his bladder is not blocked. I will drop him off at his vet on the way to work and pick him up on the way home. I only have to miss a couple of hours of work. The best part- I got to use a new charge card for the first time and now I have 20,000 frequent flyer miles. Sampson was purring so loud the whole time that the vet couldn't listen to his heart. He feels better for the trip though. He even explored the cat "patio" I built for them out of modular bookshelf panels and cable ties. The flies will get in the house - but the cats won't get out of the "patio". There is a big butterfly bush almost within paws reach so they should love the change of scenery.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Good luck with him - hope he feels better!
