How can you just pick one???

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Allison - so sorry for your loss of Firefly....nice to know he had such a long, happy life!

Those little heartthrob puppies are tugging at my PuppyMom heart strings! Wow....they are absolutely adorable!! They will be happy puppies for everyone with all the love and fun and good care they've had! I attribute our girls' happiness and lack of jealousy with the love they had from their birth family. Our girls got really sick this morning (while we still had guests :() They ate some tiny mushrooms and both were vomiting and had diarhhea. They are back to normal tonight. I'm not.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

aaaaaaaawwwwwwww the poor girls.. that's not good... hope they are ok .... terrible when that stuff happens

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh that must of been sooooooo scary!!!! Glad they are alright.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I am so glad they are OK. Let's hope that they learned their lesson - don't eat it unless there is a dog on the label - or mom or dad has it on their plate.

Thomaston, CT

Oh, no! I'm always afraid mine will bite into a toadstool. Hope they are OK. Robs has a lame back leg....if not better by tomorrow, he's off to the vet. If it's a torn ACL, I'll have to put him down.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh no... no more bad news!!!.. best of luck Robin

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Oh no!!!!

South Hamilton, MA

Tough scare with the puppies. Just have to seach the yard & get rid of horrid stuff. We always worried when we had the horses as they can't vomit.

Hope Robs has a lesser problem than you think.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

That is so sad! I hope it isn't a torn ACL!

Thomaston, CT

Robs is putting more weight on that leg today....I wouldn't take him for his walk yesterday, then I see him racing across the lawn to mouth off at the bulldogs next door. He's still limping, but not carrying it.....will wait & see.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Good luck!

Thomaston, CT

Thanks....

South Hamilton, MA

Perhaps he just pulled a muscle. I do that without bulldogs to bark at.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I saw a mushroom growing in a pot in my house and a rushed to scoop it out before one of my cats found it. Not taking any chances!

Thomaston, CT

Memory....are you overwatering? Robs looks better tonight.....carried the leg a few times, but was putting full weight on it other times....I'm still going to get him to the vets, because he has had Lyme & anaplasma before.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I don't think so. It either is dry and hot for days in a row or we get torrential rains. I haven't watered by hand in at least a week.

I know that berries need more water and hope the water barrel is high enough now to have enough pressure to feed the soaker hose. Next year all my water barrels get set up much higher!

Thomaston, CT

Sounds like a plan!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh, Robin, I hope Robs gets better each day! He's on my Pet Prayer list.....let us know what the vet says......give it some time before you have to make the call, if you can. Best of luck!

We've scoured the yard for those tiny little mushrooms the girls ate. They are very small and some are almost underground, so it's hard to find them all. We fenced off the area around our chestnut tree where they seemed to be finding them. They seem fine today. You just never know what is happening on their insides though, and that always makes me nervous.

Louise--if you are still concerned, you might want to ask the vet if she thinks it would help to do some bloodwork--would probably let her know if there are any residual effects.

Thomaston, CT

Too scary for words! Robin is back to his old self today, Louise....your prayers were heard & appreciated!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That's awesome, Marilyn!! So happy to hear it!

Thanks for the suggestion, Phoebes!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I am so glad to hear that Robin!!

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Mom sure has a lot to do to watch the kids.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I was thinking the same thing....Mom sure is busy!!!

Thomaston, CT

Thanks everyone for thinking of Robs & me. Allison, those pups are a handful....bet mom wishes she had a litter of one!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh how familiar that puppy playing scene is!!! Very cute, Allison! So, the puppy toys spread all over our living room rug here are normal, right????? LOL

Yes - Mister G is going on 10 months and toys are every where.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Love when one is minding their own business and then gets tackled

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Glad to hear that, Sherrie........there's "normalcy" in numbers! LOL

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh yes totally normal... if I pick up the dog toys... Lily will go take them back out... one by one... she doesn't like them that way

:)

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That's just what happens here, Allison. We are constantly putting their toys back in the basket, and when we do, they think we are playing a game with them, so they methodically take each one out again. At this stage in my life, I just find it fun. So what if there are toys on the rug and strings from the rope toys lying around. If anyone is offended, they can play the pickup game with the girls. LOL

Here's a shot of Carli practicing singing Happy Birthday today in the yard. The girls are so excited that my son and Donnie are coming tomorrow for the Big Birthday weekend.
