Thanks Joann, I have poppy envy. They are beautiful and love the combos.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I agree, nice combo's Ge! I've only got one or 2 poppies blooming at the moment but see more buds. ^_^

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

My goodness more catching up to do.
Robin lovely DLs and lilies. Specially like that first deep rose colored DL. Most of mine are just starting to bloom too. I notice a lot of streaking on the early darker blooms this year. Anyone else seeing this?
Jen: Pretty lily, hydrangea a DL pics from you too. Like that two toned one. Very pretty.
Tex definitely need echinacea 'Milkshake'. How tall is yours? The blooms are supposed to last a long time too. PDD is really nice isn't it and I have been impressed with h. "Mardi Gras' very much so far. Your lily pics as is all of them are really lovely too.
Rama really like sunflowers, ROS and the HH. Looks like some pumpkin pie this fall or a jack-o-lantern.
JoAnn all those combos are very nice. Like the echies and lilies. Jealous of those poppies.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I am going to mark those reds and harvest seeds later.

Thomaston, CT

Can't believe ROS is blooming! Like Pixie, ours used to bloom in Aug.....I'd hate to see it, because I knew I needed to get my classroom prepared for the new year! Jo, very pretty color combos...Tex, your roses & echies are wonderful....Rama, the powderpuff is unique.

Thanks all for the comments! Bill - anytime! It's a small yard but everything is well packed. I don't have those gorgeous hardscape as you have.

To answer questions regarding the Milkshakes - they were planted as plugs late in the season last year directly on the ground all 8 of them. The youngest of all my echinaceas, yet they were the first one to emerge from dormancy this spring and the most vigorous. They are already forming massive clumps right from the start. Some are about 4 ft. tall now and some just about 3 ft. tall. Also planted some Coral Reef at the same time with the Milkshakes and all of them went kaput.
