To answer questions regarding the Milkshakes - they were planted as plugs late in the season last year directly on the ground all 8 of them. The youngest of all my echinaceas, yet they were the first one to emerge from dormancy this spring and the most vigorous. They are already forming massive clumps right from the start. Some are about 4 ft. tall now and some just about 3 ft. tall. Also planted some Coral Reef at the same time with the Milkshakes and all of them went kaput.
