The larger dog Juju, is part Blue Healer. The smaller dog Pepe is the first to stand guard and attack, his favorite game is chasing cats.
Welcom to Tropical Garden #76
I have three ittsi bitty dogs and Pepper , long haired chihuahua ,is the terror of the three.
Thinks he's a pitt bull .
Lili , where did you get the steroid
Both jasmine have the same fragrance, one is not stronger fragrance than the other. My mother friend bought the plant for me. I believe it was at an asian supermarket close to DeKalb Farmers Market (in Decatur). I do not know where this market is. She bought it last year.
Since we are sharing dog photos, here's mine. She's a boxer.
My poor gd got a boxer , first fur baby . Only had him two years , had to put him down . He even had a wagon to ride in when they went bicycling , his own bed and blanket . Mama used to raise them . Wonderful friend .Maybe she'll get another someday.
Lili , If you make it up to laurels in July , I'll trade you some giant hosta (2 kinds ) for one itty bitty cutting of that jasmine . If you have enough for a cutting , it may be rooted by then , or close to it ?
the small jasmine will root but I have tried to root the large jasmine and it won't root.
Nuts !
digger9083, I had a Catahoula/Rottie cross, she was the best dog I ever had. Very loyal and LOVED KIDS ! She had the Catahoula coolering, and the Rottie "wiggle" ! Finally had to put her down at 16 years old.
can't find a pic of her on the computer, rat's....
When we lose our friends , it hurts so much . All dogs have a different personality and can never be replaced . Each new pet makes it's own place in our hearts, and maybe that's good . It's hard to know an era is over , never to be again . A friend e-mailed me a few days ago with the words , " One door closes and another door opens " So true , a great grandmother dies and a child is born , such was in the Great Plan .
digger, I'm going to try to root the steroid jasmine again and see. If I'm successful, I'll bring ya one.
Great , even if it doesn't work , I can still dig you a hosta . Hugh leaves, let me know if your interested .
Lili , they are the same , but I have one that's a blue and stands straight up , I can cut it loose . I'ts big , but not as big . I don't know the names . Got them from a neighbor , before she sold her house. I'll send pic later after DH goes to work

Is Monroe a working dog or a pet?
He looks just like one i had back in the 80s.
He had been a working dog but got hurt so a
friend gave him to me. Great pet for me.
Jerry
He is a pet , but great watchdog . Once you get in the yard , you are accepted (just don't try it by yourself). House dog , cats ok ,will chase if they run , kids ok , can sleep on him . He has never bitten , but he will stand over another dog , male , small , and bark like he would attact. can't pull him off .Otherwise , well trained . Sits up , rolls over , stays , fetches . All that . His hips are going altho he's only six yrs old . So sad , he only has about another year before the last trip . Can't jump up in the truck now ,has to be helped.Weighs 125 .One glass eye . He was a cull , his brother sold for 3,500 .He does know the boundries of his own 5 acres and stays on it . A pit bull broke through the solid wood fence in town and attacked him . Each owner picked thier dog up ,dogs were still attached by mouth , pulled them apart , the pitt bull went to vet with wounds in head and a crunched leg . Only fight Monroe ever had .
I'm going out now and take some pic to post .
LOL! I think I might have that blue one too. And mine doesn't look blue anymore either. What do you think? It's a 'Blue Mammoth". The red flowers in the picture with the Sum & Substance looks like Crocosmia. I'll have to look again and see.
edited to add: Yep, it looks like a crocosmia to me. Funny, that we have the same hostas. I got them at Lowe's last year, really cheap. They have a great hostas selections and very affordable.

I'm going for sure to divide that Sum and Substance . I love that thing . I divided the other one last year . I have several others but all were given to me I have no idea what the names are .I do have a little midget one also. It has never bloomed and I have a old fashioned one that makes seeds . They come up everywhere and after fighting them , I just let them grow now . I'm getting used to them . If they are in the way , they get cut , if not , they get to live altho the cut ones come back . I'm going to have hundreds of 3 "
and 4" pots this year . . I hope to give them away .
My blue one makes seeds....
Mine doesn't . Bring some with you , ok ? I found these plants 15 years ago on the river at an old abandoned homesite , many , many years old .Beautiful plants .
ok.
Me too , if they are ripe .
if not, I can mail 'em to you later.
Me too , Lili . Sounds like a plan !
Hello everyone!! thanks for all the enjoyable pictures and comments!!
Texasbigleaves, thanks for starting the new thread!!
Everything is Big and Beautiful in your garden, your second photo could be a Philo. 'Evansii'. I bought a cutting on e-bay. The lacey leaf plant in the pot from Raymond is 'Pride of Barbadoes'.
I am fighting every bug you can think of this spring, and I am still waiting to get a nice soaking from all the rain aound us.
