Very very nice! I need to chop mine back. they bloomed and the bees have been enjoying them, but the seeds are ready! All my coleus got leggy and one big plant even got woody stemmed on me! I dont know if I am going to bring any in this year.

Austin, TX

mable...another DGr IDd it as a Kong.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

The Kong series is a variety with very large leaves.

Austin, TX

I'm not sure what thread it was IDd on, maybe "coleous"?

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

This container in the shade, will outlast the others in the sun on the deck.
Every year Trailing Queen knockes itself out.

Love your coleus, GE1836. Wish they did better in our climate. Caladiums, too.

Austin, TX

ge...I have that mahogony too. Love your labels...something else for me to learn! You have great coleus.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the wind keeps knocking over the one tall one I have in a clay pot.. the thing is so top heavy... I moved it to a new spot .. see what happens

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh man... the wind knocked over my bloom master box... the thing is all smashed

:(

don't ask me how... I could barely lift it back up

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Maybe it wrenched itself off the hook.I hope the damage wasnt too severe.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

not one of the hanging ones.. the huge box... and it's pretty bad

this was from the 28th last month... guess it will be the last photo of it

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Austin, TX

Oh,bummer! ;o(

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

insult to injury... I can't get the broken pieces of Persian shield out... the BES vine is all wrapped around it...SIGH... I had to walk away

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

There are those moments of mourning in a gardeners life.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it really is

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

oh man that was gorgeous! So sorry.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thanks... I didn't even want to water the thing yesterday.. LOL

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Well, yano, many parts might be salvagable (sp)~... like some plants!
my biggest thing is when I get something huge and trailing in a basket and then I have to cut things back.. its like losing a long queu of hair! LOL!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the smashed version... I was able to pull out the broken pieces today.. shriveled up enough

It looks great Allison.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

when it flipped it landed on the top somehow

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Well, you do have a lot of plant in that! maybe its flipping was saying "I need a hair cut"?!

Some of my containers are getting top heavy too! They look so good, but the container is not container enough for their heavyness... and Lord knows we hate to prune when they got a good frock of plant hair!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that's right... just moved my clay pots that kept toppling over.. can't cut them!!!

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

LOL!! I know that syndrone.. cant or wont! LOL! I got some coming in the house and they have to go for a trim if I am gonna have them next year!

So far I have brought in enough to fill only one level of my one plant shelf stand...got bunches to go. I bring in a few each day.. hoping I get them all in by frost! Im not gonna work my tushy off though and get a hernia over it.
