Nice Victor. I have a dwarf fothergilla that is blue, but it is way down by the drive and cannot see it from the house. A larger one may fit into my blue/yellow bed at the back next to the lilac. Will have to think on it, may be too dry there.
That 'Invincible' is going to be a winner when they grow up don't you think?
Also like that last combo of color.
Took a few shots ahead of the storms. Of course now the sun has returned, for the moment at least.
First is another shot of rose 'Black Cherry'. This quickly becoming a fav. The top bloom which is huge has been blooming for ten days and has held up well in all sorts of weather. Can't ask for much more from this one. Hope it returns next spring which is the real test of plants here.

'Honey Perfume' and 'Terra Cotta' yarrow. The blooms on the rose are much more to the yellow to cream color now with the warmer temps.

Pat How tall are your Amethyst? I thought Bluestone described theirs as 18 inches. They must have meant the plant without the bloom.
These are mine.

Yep I think that is what they meant, cause mine are 3-4 feet tall in flower.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

OK I was sure mine were miss labled. I also think I asked this question before and you answered it months ago.HA HA HA old brain ,geezer stuff rears its ugly head.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

No I do not recall you asking before, unless it is a senior moment all around. ^_^

still looking to find an invincible here locally - unless you can spare one victor:)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sorry - I need all of them for the 'trial'. Hee hee!

I only lost one fothergilla over the years and it may have been Blue Mist.

ngam, and others:

I've been enjoying all your perennial blooms, and I bet the butterflies and bees love 'em, too!

How tall is your dwarf, Bill? Although with all the greenery around here from the colonized pasture, we really don't need any shrubs.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

lucy it is in it's second year here and still very small - maybe 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 - i believe i got them from rarefind - yup

Nice photos! Pixie, you may want to plant campanula to colonize....all my varieties spread like crazy....& if you can tell me what echies survived for you, I'll give them a try....love many of the new varieties, but don't want to spend a lot & have them croak....I see Pat has hers against the brick which helps for survival. Pat, that's the color of my Honey Perfume right now. I think this is delph Purple Passion.....

Glad that we have your picture Bill. Prettier than 'no picture available".

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

actually my picture is the blue shadow - bill's dwarf just looks like a normal one only small

Nice blooms Robin. Pretty delph and you gotta love those volunteers that show up all on their own, pretty too, bet they smell yummy. I have some seeds just can't find a place to plant them yet.
The main thing with the new echies is, at least up here in the northeast, I think they should not be planted in the fall, specially if they are a small plant. Also they require really good drainage. We will see how many come back next spring of the newbies. Those in front of the house have lilies in back of them, they are three years old. There are two kinds there, 'Primadonna' and 'Green Envy'. The green Envy' was slightly nibbled by the bambi squad. Been sprayed so hope no more munching. They usually leave them alone after they start to bloom, not as tasty I guess. I would really like to train this new youngin to go elsewhere at any rate.
