2010 Garden Photos #20
"stokesia - was able to ws several of these from seed heads" Had to laugh at this Bill....you could of just smacked the seed head like I did and you'd half a dozen this spring. I'll know better this year.....NO smacking...deadhead, deadhead, deadhead!!!
Wha,
Nice pictures! I agree with you on the Campanula. I had a pink version of that type, and it went all over the place, drove me crazy. I finally pulled the last of it this year.
I like ths color of Mr. Watson and the chocolate sedum. But I like chocolate anything!
i only had two of my three varities come up - did not realize it was that easy they did not germinate last year - or maybe i weeded them out without knowing?
Maybe, ive done that several times....does look like a weed when they first start out.
Tex you know I love those echies and the roses are beautiful.
JoAnn your place must be getting quite colorful, more every day. Like that unusual white monkshood. That blooms early.
That list certainly rings true, specially the pjs, coffee and clogs.
Bill nice pics. Love the dark sedum and the double flower of coreopsis 'Sunray'. Does that stay medium tall and compact plant?
Thanks, Pat, for the info on Gentle H. I will look for her. Tex, your roses are delightful, & the echies are so unusual....I also love the white monkshood, Jo...the form is much nicer than my purple which sort flops everywhere. And Bill, the delphs are gorgeous! Rama, I saw myself in many parts of the garden "Addiction"! Here is adenorpha.....
pat it does stay compact and will self seed. there are two others next to it although newby's and smaller.
I have Campanula Sarastro and Urtificola ,Both spread like mad.I wanted a big bunch so I let the Urti's go and wow.
Last year I couldnt see the urtificolas because the Sarastro's were so big.
This year its the oposit.Urtificolas are as spread and tall as I want them. They bloom a long time and there are Sunny Crown lilies in there with them.Should be a nice show in a month.
