2010 Garden Photos #20

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

I'm not a happy camper with this one. When I bought the bulbs they were advertised as red Hiawatha lilies. I don't even like this shade of orange.

More pretty blooms Tex. Love those callas.
Nice pepper pensacola. Never ate a purple pepper. Tastes the same as a green pepper I expect.
Jen you have an oriental blooming already. It is very nice, bright and cheerful. I can't get over how fast the season is going this year.
Lovely dark HH rama. Lost all mine last year but there is a baby I found so maybe next year a bloom or two.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Nice pics Bill, even of your foot. That 'Coral Reef' is really nice. Was thinking of getting it next year if it stays orange and doesn't turn too pink, peachy is okay. You will have to let us know how it progresses for you. Also like the 'Blue Shadow', can't beat that foliage. Would love to squeeze one or two in some place. Those get about 4'x4' more or less?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nice Bill! You got me looking at my Echies now...I think I may have lost one or two from the co-op but i see a few survived. :) I really like that Mondara too.........let me know if it's a spreader. I want things that spread like crazy to put in the field, so far I have yarrow and lupines and daisies. Think i'll put Mondara and blanket flowers in next.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

L like your plants Bill

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

pat i will try and remember to post photo's of coral reef as it flowers and fades - i have two of those.

i lost three from the coop celeste - the mondara does spread, was just a little thing last year (with two other complementary colors) all came up gangbusters and i installed plastic edging around them (buried) to keep to the size i wanted - one of the three died back although now has new shoots - all three got mildew before i could spray them - got them at high country gardens fireball, grand marshall, and pink lace.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

forgot to coment on blue shadow it is supposed to grow to about 5x5
