Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - funny coincidence. Must have been a great kiss!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Certainly a famous one!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Well she lived a long time!

Neat!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cool! (Can't see the tongues. Of course, people did not do that back then! ^_^)

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Yeah that tongue thing is kind of new!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great to see this happen to this buffoon.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Ohh no! lady Gaga fell! I hope she's alright!

South Hamilton, MA

She's lucky that she didn't break something. Our 16 yr old grandaughter studied Dante this yr in school. to demonstrate it the teacher gave them different celebraties & had them figure our which circle of hell to which they should be assigned. They had a lot of fun with Lady Gaga. I don't know her correct assignment. :)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I heard there was an earthquake in our parts today. Didn't feel it.

I also heard that there's a basil blight going around. Hope my plants stay healthy.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Me, too, Harper. Do you know what it looks like?

Babysitting the grandkidlings this morning. I'll let them play outside first thing, cuz it's already over 80 here.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hey Harp! How is class? Did not hear about the basil problem. Surprised the mafia would allow it. ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

More horror in the gulf.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

That's a good idea, lets burn the unrefined oil 'soup' so it gets out of the water and into the air. I wonder how many millions of gallons we can burn... Terrible, they messed up the Gulf Of Mexico, - almost unbelievable.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

This guy has been making the morning show rounds. Very cool! Made his own rig with two cheap cameras and shot pics and video from a balloon.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

He must have friends in high places...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I've always wanted to do something similar, but only up to maybe a few hundred feet. I would keep a string attached to the balloon to pull it back. Two problems are keeping the camera steady and pointed down, and setting up the shooting interval.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

They used to sell Estes rockets that took pics, and movies too. - Figure if your camera falls it'll cost you more than what it would have to rent a chopper for an hour.
I was fishing across the bay from a mansion down here a few weeks ago and everybody was showing up for this 'black tie affair' in a chopper, there must have been at least 15 one right after another... like taxis! lol!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I only would have done it with a point and shoot. There is an rc plane that comes with a camera.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I've still got 2 left of the 5 I built, one I gave away, (a huge trainer) and the other two bit the dust. Still have a seaplane & smaller trainer left, - haven't picked up the hobby again in NY as of yet, didn't do the camera thing, was busy enough keeping the thing from crashing. Supposed to only fly them in sites in which your insurance will cover you / (- or on your own property, if it's big & isolated enough).

Who said civility is dead??

Wonderful role models for the kids! WC, there is a facility here to fly RC planes.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

- We have a couple down here also Robin, not too far away.
- looks like those kids are training to be Yankees! (lol)

The basil blight: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=128061773

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Mafia? I didn't get that one, Victor. Classes are going well. Nothing new to show, but when I've got something, I'll post it!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

All Italians love basil. The alleged mafia is alleged to be made up of mostly alleged Italians. Capish??!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I just found out one of my brothers tumors have returned, on his bladder this time. I didn't feel much like a big 50th celebration after that, and especially when I found out they weren't making any incissions to remove them. Going in the "front door" as he put it....so if you pray, for my B-day tomorrow....do me a favor and say a word for him please. His name is Alan and his wife just died in Nov. from cancer.
Thanks, Pixie

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Will do, Celeste

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks Jen.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sure will, Celeste. Thoughts and prayers are with you, him and the family.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

-That's amazing, wait till a hurricane gets hold of that stuff!

Sorry about your brother Pixie, adding my thoughts & prayers.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm sure that even now there is some oil residue evaporating and raining down.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Sorry to hear about your brother Celeste, sending healing thoughts and hugs!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

very sorry about your brother celeste

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Praying for your brother, Celeste.

Good info about the basil.

Thomaston, CT

Will say prayers for Alan, Celeste....my cousin Jim has been going through this for the last several years....it's being controlled.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thank you all. Alan had tumors removed from his kidneys 18 months ago and they thought they got it all, i guess they didn't as they found it in the bladder . He is just getting used to living alone and has been depressed and now this. He can't seem to get a break, so I thank you all for saying a prayer for him. ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Seems to happen like that. When it rains, it pours.
