Weeze it was called "red white and blue" hydrangea ... think it was $3.00
^_^ Pixie and Victor ^_^
I like that price Allison, usually another 0 is involved.
it came as a tiny stick though... but when I first started out.. I didn't mind waiting
inflation... and of course it DOES NOT look like this photo

Great pix everyone.
Allison!!! what do you feed your plants.
nothing special.... but if you saw how terrible my soil was... you would fix it... LOL... for 4 years I was trying to grow anything in that spot.. everything died... year after year.. makes me proud I grew that one from seed though!!
Hard to keep up with all these great pics. Good stuff everyone. Loved the giant foxglove and plant combos too.
Not much in bloom here but plants we have already seen.Waiting for Astilbes and lilies to open,Rosepoint Lace is trying.Maybe later today.
Weeze, now looking at that list, I had thought of 'Butterflies in Flight" last night.
The other 2 it could be is...
Blue Spritz
Crested Surf
Nice, Jo.
Great shots, Kin. They look edible! Please share more of your great talent here.
JoAnn your coleus really looks lovely next to the lily. They compliment each other so well.
GGK beautiful shots and welcome. As Victor says please post more any time
Here are a few from yesterday between the rain showers.
Echie 'Marmalade ' opened just a little more and getting more golden orange in color. These doubles take a long time to bloom fully but they also last a long time usually too.
hello ggk thx for sharing! nice joann and pat - chis marlow is very nice
Nice, Pat. Love that dark JI!
Everyone's photos are so nice as always!
It has me thinking about how much I would love a nicer camera, so I can get better pictures to share. If any one has any opinions on good cameras I would love it if you check out the thread I started in the camera forum. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1106755/
I'll reply here, Meredith. Most point and shoots have a manual shutter shooting option. Aside from the special shooting modes like action, low light, landscape, etc., most have auto, manual (fully, where you adjust both the aperture and shutter speed), shutter priority (where you pick the shutter speed and the camera sets the aperture accordingly) and aperture priority (the opposite).
Delay between pics is a problem with most point and shoots, but this is getting much better and I am sure you can find one that is not too bad. If it has a larger buffer (internal memory which holds the data until it is transferred to the card), it will be faster.
That said, I would first suggest getting off auto. For flower shots, use the macro setting - usually a flower icon. For the kids, use a sports setting - usually a golfer icon. If no sports mode, then switch to shutter priority and start experimenting with various speeds until you freeze their motion. This will be a problem in low light. In that case, use the flash mode.
