felt the same way lady's - i had held off getting tiger eyes because growing up i had wild sumac that was invasive - this only get 6'x6' and better color than the wild stuff.

I think he meant better color all year around. Look at those sumac right now - boring! My photo is from today.

And not just the color - the cut leaf shape is much nicer.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

went on my annual trip to mason hollow nursery which can only be described as an economy boost at least for them - come home with;
hosta's chirstmas pagent, olive baily langdon, clear fork river vally, snow mouse ears, frosted mouse ears, frosted dimples, and golden meadows.
japaness hak. grasses fubuki (3), beni kaze (2) and naomi (1) - already had one beni and the naomi can does spread so i can wait for it to get bigger and split it up.
and as i was waiting for them to get one of the hosta's from a different grow area i spotted a cornus kousa "summer gold" yellow with green variegation.
they have some small jm's too - stayed away from them - nah, i already had with they were selling:)
now where to plant??

Thomaston, CT

Wow....nice list! I'd love to see photos of the hostas.

Meredith - thanks.....I agree with your current view on white flowers....I must be entering a "white phase" as well. :)

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Me too with the white phase!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

sorry folks all the hosta and grass are in the ground - they were in pots so they do not look like they will when they grow - i will take a pic of the tree - it glows!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I'm starting to like white more lately too.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Just put together and tried out the Rain Tower. Very nice! Nice construction and the height is very useful (73").

Thomaston, CT

I need a drying out machine!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

wow that's a lot taller than the ones I have Victor... mine are 4' or so... glad to hear you like it

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And that really comes in handy as my beds are filled with mature plants. It's very well-constructed.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Will not jinx it, but there is the wearing of the green here Victor.
Got to go out to the local nursery this am. Went to get deer deterrents and some bamboo stakes. Good thing too because backing out, a mom and two very new twins went dashing towards the woods across my driveway. Anyway I got some liquid fence and milorgonite. Hope it works. While I was there a few things just jumped right on my wagon. Funny how that always happens. I hear a lot of people complain about it too. They just would not take no for an answer so followed me home. A sedge and a sedum for the potheads. I posted pics on the picture thread. Also a hibiscus and another 'Obsidian' heuch. They were followed close behind by a geranium 'Wargrave Pink', pincussion 'Butterfly Blue', lupin 'Gallery Yellow', geum 'Lady Stratheden', heliopsis 'Ballerina', and a delph 'Black Knight'. I could not resist the color of this one.
