Daily Pics. #324

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

This is my second time to get pictures of the Eastern Kingbird, when I loaded it up to my PC, I was a bit disappointed on how they turned out. Had to sharpen it quite a bit, to get it to this. I find the background to busy. Oh well, I know where they are, and will continue trying,

I have only had one Cardinal couple and have never seen the bird on the left before. Could it be a juvenile?

HelloMissMary - the bird on the left is an adult female Cardinal, had it been a juvie, it would have had a black bill, like this:

burn_2007 - Even with the busy background, I think your pic of the Eastern Kingbird looks good.

Thanks, Hack. I guess she's just a newbie. Always happy to see more Cardinals!

Mary, around here, if I only saw one bird a day, it would surely be a Cardinal.

For me, that would be House Sparrows, Hack. Lucky you.

I made a mistake above on the so called "White Crowned Night Heron" There is no such bird. It's Black Crowned Heron. I thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention of my error. Sorry.

Great Blue Heron looking pretty here.

Duc, nice ones! I really like that fluffed up green heron and the towhee.

Hack, nice collection of birds. I love the Brown-headed Nuthatch. I saw my first one a few weeks ago. My photos were terrible though!

Burn, nice ones of the waxwing and the kingbird. Saw my first Eastern Kingbird on Friday, but didn't get a pic nearly as good as yours.

Lily, how great is that you get to see a Great Blue all the time.

Here's one of those pictures that I so wished had turned out. Tried Mrs Ed's advice on saturation, but this was the best I could do. A White Ibis and its reflection.
