Wow, Bill; Western Tanager and Bullock Oriole travel together! What wonderful sight to see! Nan, I'd love to see one of those Catbirds and to listen to it meows. DWM, nice female Gold Finch. SusanL, wow those Goldfinches are adorable, the Honeysuckles are marveluous, and your garden is one butterflies attraction. I see various Salvias, Coneflowers, and is that Casias for Sulphurs' hostplant? Whoa!
Brown Thrasher takes a break from sitting on its nest this morning.
Resin, your grebe family is beautiful!
Holly, your storks are beautiful. Wow, they sure must have been exciting to see in person. Love that last one with the baby!
Susan, looks like your goldfinches will have plenty to eat!
Nanny, I guess your catbirds have you trained well. Cute picture.
Hugger, congrats on the fledglings. Hope you're teaching that little guy how to use the camera too.
Mike, beautiful goldfinch.
Rockminer, beautiful tanager and oriole.
Lily, I really like your thrashers.
Missy, lucky you to be able to photograph the kites. They're beautiful.
The rain brought out the worst in some of my birds, including the Bald Eagles and Crows.
Great pics. of the Bald Eagles once again Duc. Those crows they are too agressive for their own good aren't they? I can see the Eagle distress look. Wow, nice captures!
I am longing to see a green Heron here, but haven't yet. However, I saw a White Black Crowned Night Heron this morning. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Editted for correction of my error. Frank was kind to help correct my mistake. Thanks Frank.

Our Catbirds are now coming into the yard and standing on the ground under the suet feeders to get the crumbs.
Nanny... Is that female Red-bellied banded or am I just seeing things? That's interesting....
I see no band!
Resin
Everyone's pics are wonderful!!!!

Nanny...Catbird, Robin and Wodpecker pics are fab!!! I've yet to see a Catbird (I've got a pretty short lifer list compared to most...still under 100...a work in progress...LOL)
I hope I didn't miss anyone!
Here's a pic of Daddy House Finch feeding it's fledgling on one of our thistle feeders this morning...
I don't know what that is, but I can see why one may think a band is on her left leg.

Man, what great pics!
Lily_love - thanks for starting the new thread and those shots of the Great Blue Heron and its catch were neat. AND that 100-yard shot of the egret looked pretty good. What lens were you using?
pelletory - in your 2nd pic of the Turkey Vulture, it looked wicked!
nanny_56 - That White-breasted Nuthatch with the fledgling was sweet. AND I like the way you framed the Gray Catbird. AND while I was re-filling my feeders I heard the racket of a Red-bellied Wp. She finally visited some on my Peanut suet. But unlike you, I didn't have my camera. :-(
ducbucln - I really enjoy your Oriole pics, especially the dad and his youngster. AND the pics of the Bald Eagles and Crow really got my attention. Nice
Wow, lagerfran - great capture of the two owls!
Resin - what a peaceful setting! - that Great Crested Grebe pair with 3 chicks
OMG, HollyAnnS - all those Wood Storks are amazing. It would thrill this southerner for sure.
SusanLouise - your Goldfinch sure have their colors on. Pretty! AND that Daddy House Finch feeding it's fledgling is one sweet capture.
DWMike - that winter pic of the Goldfinch is great, I love the subdued nature of it.
rockminer - the pics of the Western Tanager and a Bullock's Oriole are real nice. You said they came by in the evening, nice composition in the waning hours.
thebestmissy - that's a nice pic of a Mississippi Kite. I've never seen one, but I was taken with how far around it could turn its head. AND Carolina Wrens are loud aren't they.
VA_Wild_Rose - what a great series of the Pileated Wp's. Your focus was dead-on!.
If I missed anyone, it wasn't by design.
