Lilies 2010 - Part 2

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Right! How dare they!

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

It has been ages since I've been on Daves, and I got a great dose of lilies for 2010.

Most of mine are up and growing, some show buds others just teasing me, but look what I found this morning! My first lilies of 2010!!!

L. pumilum and 3 different colors no less!

missed you Sue, at the Iowa RU.

Mine aren't any where near blooms, [pumilum]

Kim sweetie, if Silk Road doesn't come back you let me know. Mine came back with a vengeance - I actually gave away two others last year. We'll just try it again.

I overwintered your glorious brug in a north room of my house. I kept it sufficiently watered so it didn't die back so much, and I put it outside yesterday. Anyone who could give me such a lovely thing certainly deserves a Silk Road (or 2!)

DO let me know.

Donna

Anyone that care for the plants I sent; are my lifelong friend! I can't believe you still have those brugs Donna. Great brug Mama. I'm delighted. Thank you for the offer. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. I'm counting on the day for 'Silk Road' returns.

That's great Sue ~ you lucky dog! :)

Elgin, IL(Zone 5a)

If not Silk Road, I'm sure there are others!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Thanks Donna, I'm running out of room to plant. I think this maybe my 'Cancun' that has been shaded out by other vegitation. The bloom is punies and 'pale' looking. :((

I never realized lilies grew so huge! Yikes! Silly me, planted some in front of mixed in with scabiosa. They are still small as I just planted them this past fall. However, my better established lilies grew into small trees!

shaigirl79,

What a photo! I love it.

"Sigh" I'm still dreaming....
would love to have nice weather for a change.

Keep sending photos everyone!

How does one paste a photo on a message?
My daffs + tulips love to pop back up after a heavy snow storm.
Its absolutely incredible!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Flower-addict Lilies come in several heights. I have Tiny Icon for the first time and have had Tiny Nana and Matrix which are less than 2 feet.
Some Asiatics are 30 inches to 5 feet. Trumpets can go up to 7 feet.

Some really pretty blooms yesterday!

YAY!!! FFO here and it is on Ceres...it is in a part shade spot so it has stayed this nice darker ping color. So nice to have a lily bloom! It had just a touch of thripe damage. Think I sprayed just in time!

Corrected name of Lily.
