Garden Photo's Part 10
oooohhh do I love that broom Weeze!!!... outstanding colors!!!
yeah for the pond Victor!!!.. Coppertina looks great.. love that shot
Another vote for for ninebark and redwood!!
Nice shots everyone. Love the pond, Allison's monster BH, the siberian iris have started to bloom but the camera does not do justice to the colors. My dutch iris is buried under the TBs. Love the clem Teshio weeze
Thanks. Ninebark and dogwood would be a natural combo. ^_^
Wasn't Teshio Abe Vigoda's character in The Godfather?!!
My Aquilegia have been going for awhile too, I love it.
That Broom is GORGEOUS, what exactly is a broom?
what is it.. scotch broom
??
I know Michele loves them
I'm glad you asked that, Jen. I don't know what a broom is either, but it is GORGEOUS!! Love it, Weez! All of your photos were smashing!
Allison - your BH IS a monster! How old is it?
Victor - love the Robin in the pond, and that June hosta has a really pretty color in your photo. Is it as bluish as it appears in the photo? If so, that one will jump to the top of my hosta list at once! Why is Summer Wine called a ninebark? It's very pretty!
my guess is 5 years old... maybe ... it was just a little stick when I planted it
hey I forgot to ask you.. did your astible make it that I gave you Louise?
Thanks, Louise. Yes, that is an accurate photo of June. It is a nice combo of blue, green and yellow in the sun. More muted in the shade.
Ninebark is the common name for Physocarpus. Don't know why.
I need to take a pic of a runner type plant that I thought was poison ivy, the 3 leaves and all that. But it has thorns...any ideas without a pic????
might be those sticker bushes I have in the woods behind the house... they root where ever they touch.. but I wouldn't call them a runner so maybe not
The poison ivy/brush killer didn't kill it when I poured it on it last week.
ut oh.. take a picture
Wow. Yes - get a pic. Sometimes the killer requires two or three applications.
my begonia bonfire will look nice with that
Oh no - I was just shocked to see this note from one of the owners of Fairweather:
http://fairweathergardens.com/
how terrible
That's a shame. Last year it was Hank from Rare Find, also a sudden, unexpected death.
Yes - terrible. PE's are always a possibility with immobility.
How sad.
Sorry about Robert.
Marilyn I just planted Killien Donahue.Hope mine looks as good as yours.
Pretty!
Have a nice day
Nice pics Victor. Lots of great foliage and the robin in water is too preciuos. Sad news from Fairweather too.
The weed with thorns and runners could be wild raspberries. Tough suckers that the birds help disperse all over here.
Pretty color clem Venu. My first just opened too, 'Elsa Spath', lots of buds on the others.
Sad news!
Weeze, I love that broom.
sorry to hear about the man at fairweather.
that is a great shot of the robin victor!
Victor, Very sad, he sounded like the consummate plants man. I hope you got to meet him.
I did finally follow your advice and planted a Coppertina, albeit a tiny one.
Venu209, Love seeing your Sibs. No blooms here yet on them.
In our garden I have some nice tulips still blooming. Plus lots of Iris and lots of other new blooms. Patti
