2010 Garden Photos - Part 9
Pixie, your noid looks like a low growing veronica...Bill, both the Shirazz & Amber Ghost are beauties. JoAnn, I'm thinking the same about the geum....never planted one, but am liking the red one. Good luck, Patti! Here are my Mothers' Day presents.....the girls chose them....a soapwort & sedum.....must tell them about JMs.
That's the one I want!
so many pretty pictures already... Bill any residents in your birdhouse yet?.. my sister was asking me what a bigger sized black bird with white under the wings... and really really noisy at 3:00 AM would be???
she said during that hot weather we were having and the windows were open... they woke the whole house up.. anyone have a clue what it is?
Pixie LUV the pink trillium. I hope it returns and muliplys for you. wha that's a kickbutt hose shot and contest-worthy ^_^ OMG I've fallen in luv with the carnival jm! Googleguy says its zone 4-8. Is that true?!?!?
The bird might be a MockingBird.
Ge, nice Geum!!
i think that is right dnut - mine is pretty small still in shade between 3 large sugar maples fighting for food
thank you JoAnn I will send her a link and ask her if that was it
You have DLs blooming already....wow. Jo, I was going to say that i love that purple sedum.
i was going to say the same thing about the dl!
very nice jen and i like that yellow iris rd
Bill, what's in the tepee setup in your long view. Love the shrooms.
Jen, I have buds in my DLs, love the tradecentia. Your daisy is already in bloom!!!
Marilyn, your harlow gold is beautiful.
My peonies are blooming and my climbing rose brite eyes had its first bloom today, lost all my poppy, orange cosmos seedlings to the wind.
Wow - fell behind this thread - what gorgeous shots!!
(Bill - did I see a weed??!!)
Thanks, everyone. Was out in the yard this evening and got a lot of nice shots. I'm always amazed at how many things I find to photograph when I'm out there.
Yes, Marilyn, you got it! It's quince. My mind drew a blank when I posted the pic. Happens sometimes. A senior moment, even though I'm not a senior. Nice mother's day presents.
Celeste, I think your little blue bells are Jacob's Ladder. I need to get me one or more. I love your trilliums and hellebores. I just got a few trilliums in the mail from Seneca Hills, along with a lot of other things from her. That poppy pic in brilliant! Really glows! Your tiny blue flowers on the groundcover might be creeping speedwell, a type of veronica. That purple annual stock and white and purple verbena are stunning! Love the butterfly pic.
Bill, your Shiraz JM is lovely. I like Autumn Moon even more. Oh, and Amber Ghost and Carnival are gorgeous, too. I think I'm in love!!!!!!!!!!!! I need more JM's. I only have 2. My sister told me she saw red fernleaf JM's at BJ's today for about $37. I told her to get one. Love the shot of the wren on your birdhouse. Is she thinking of moving in? I like your long view shot looking out from the shade garden. Wow! What a gorgeous spirea!
Patti, don't get planted! We'd all miss you!
Yay, Pixie, for enabling JoAnne! Not that it takes much to enable any of us here. :) I think I need one of those geums myself.
Jen, gorgeous yellow iris! Love it!
Karen
This rabbit was a Mother's Day gift to my sister. Nice thing is, since we live together, I get to enjoy it, too.
