2010 Garden Photos - Part 9
SongsofJoy,
Beautiful!
Love the photos, especially the japanese malple, the hosta for contrast, and the stream is priceless.
Celeste, thanks. It apparently is queen anne's lace.
It is so windy and with tonight's forecast I had to bring all my tropicals inside. It was painful.
wow lots of great shots here today!!
Abby, great shots. What is the name of the heuchera? I love the coloring.

You're not too far from me, Abby, but none of my clems are blooming yet....Bill, thanks for the heads up on Winter Flame....sounds like something I'd like...hope it's from the hardy part of Canada! Songs, beautiful scenes. Here's a verbascum with a variegated iris in the back that actually has a bud on it for the first time ever!
Thanks, Rama...they are phoenix hybrids.
Love this combo as well. My garden is random but I see blue/red or maroon and yellow often, must be doing it unbeknownst to me.
They get tall dont they?
Ooops, sorry...I meant phoenicium hybrids! No, this variety stays at about 18" when in bloom....Southern Charm is about 3' tall, & this year I bought Tangerine which gets between 3-4' tall.
uh oh wha I see a stray leaf in the bed to the right of the bleeding heart :O
Songs that is a great combo. My combos seem to take forever to combo sigh.
what ever that somethingsomething is peoniae it has very prettiful foliage.
abbyday white flowers are my fav too! I specially luv them in the shady beds.
RD that variegated iris is my fav in your pics. Now that I've FINALLY learned how to get irisii to bloom I MUST HAVE one (or two).
Dnut, How is the weather up there today?
The wind blew some vinyl siding and shingles off our roof today.
We had that wind storm. Kept me up all night. Hope the damage isn't too bad?
Here today mi mi mi:
♫ O what a beautiful moooorning
O what a beautiful daaaay♫
It looks like only the ferns took a beating from our storm this week. (I have guilt cuz I transplanted them from Moo's garden in zone 7b and they are innocent and have NO idea that ferns should not leaf out this early here. They need to wait for the Joon Monsoon. I should have reminded them).
Great pics everyone! I am so enjoying all these pretty blooms.
