I opened up the curtian and they kind of stunned me as they all darted - quick.... Ive seen 2 that tolerated each other, but not 4, till now.
That webcam in south america you have to get a subscription now. It was cool to watch that one.
Coffee Break #38 - Happy May
oh really.. I haven't been to the site in a while.. that was pretty cool
I was sticking wild honeysuckle in my hair as it grows all over here and a hummer followed me right into the mudroom! He then got stuck and couldn't find his way out ...kept bumping into the window. Brian opened both windows and it finally flew out!!
Funny, Celeste.
I won't put honeysuckle in my hair anymore.....I was afraid it was going to get hurt.
My friend who is a holistic health practioner has been saying that all along, he recommends using coconut oil. Also wearing sunglasses tricks the brain to thinking it's night time so your body doesn't produce the melatonine(spelling) it needs to protect your skin from getting sunburn.
Interesting.
Gee, you try to do the right thing & it backfires! Pixie, loved the hummer story!
Can't find my new vacuum cleaner bags....what I do remember is while I was putting them away saying to myself " I'm not going to remember that they are here" sure enough.... ugh!!!
That's funny, Jen!
Celeste - love the visual I have of you and the hummer! :)
Victor - is your weather station all set up like you want it now? And how was your little guy's first communion celebration? Did you have good weather?
yes Celeste.. I can see it now
Love the hummingbird story!
We had a cat on our roof at 4:30 am, sounded like it got in a scuffle with something. Wild crying and running. What else would be on the roof at 4:30 am that would bother a cat?
raccoon?
Yes - the weather station and computer software are running great.
The communion was fantastic. Great time at the Italian restaurant and he did a great job with the reading. Thanks!
I've never seen a raccoon in our neighborhood before. Unless the cat just got caught in the gutter and scrambled to get out. It was weird waking up to. Some flower pots were tipped over on the deck.
We had some animal getting attacked last night. Horrible screaming.
Mountain lion?
I downloaded a Mythbusters app for the iPhone. Cool.
Raccoons are around at night....could have tussled with the cat. Same with your scream, Victor. My vacuum cleaner died on Sat. Went & bought a new one....cried when I heard the price.
Hee hee - interesting coupling of the two items, Robin! Thought a raccoon got the vacuum cleaner. ^_^
Anyone ever have to take steroids for pain? I have a severe sciatica that has gotten worse over the last 4 weeks, my son's wedding is in two weeks so I finally went to the doc...I have tried just about everything I could with no improvement..prescription ibuprofen and naprox, massage, stretches, cold and heat...It's only for 6 days, I hate the thoughts of it, but I can't stand for more than 5 minutes without severe pain in my butt cheek and down the back of my leg.
A Medrol pack?? I've used it for poison ivy. If it helps, don't sweat it. They are only a problem when you are on them for an extended time.
Yeah it's a Medrol pack...that's good to know, of course the docs tell you no side effects...but that's not what I read. I was real worried!
As long as your not on them long, there should be no problem.
Finally getting our new slider in our dining room today. YAY
My first word picture of that was a sliding board being set up, Jen. Then this peabrain put it together and thought door. YAY!!!
lol
No Smartphone :( guess I can't go to London....darn. Wish the raccoon had gotten my vac....then insurance might have paid for it.
something got our birdfeeder last night - this is the one that got hit by the hickory tree - both suet containers were knocked off - one is MIA - metal frame was bent - bird rails off - second time this spring - what ever it was did not go for the new one 30' away.
The bear was full!
I see a duck eating from a bird feeder (on the ground) when I walk in the morning - it is funny.
not convinced it was a bear - the feeder was still on the pole - thinking fisher
Maybe a big duck??
Most of my rhodies didn't bloom this year. Last fall I used Wilt-Pruf to protect from winter burn. Think that could be it? Anyone having problems with their rhodies? Anyone ever use Wilt-Pruf?
Hey Harp. No problems here. Never used that stuff.
Results from a survey of drivers on what they do while driving. Now I know why 15% of cars seem to swerve a lot.
• 29% of respondents admitted to having kissed others while driving, whereas a smaller, but surprising number (15%) said they have performed sex or other sexual acts while driving
• 28% confirmed they have sent text messages while driving
• 13% reported they have applied makeup while driving
• 12% admitted to having written or read emails while driving
• 10% reported reading newspapers or magazines while driving
• 5% confessed to having played video games, and another 5% say that they have shaved while behind the wheel
harper it is not due to the wilt proof - every third year or so i have an off year for rodies.
i will not provide answers to the driving questions.
