Coffee Break #38 - Happy May

New diagnosis - I got the Cheezy Dry Eye! Warm compress 2 times a day, eye drops 3-4 times and FLAX SEED Vitamins - 2000 mg a day.

Flax seed oil will help lube the glands, that are dry, to help lube the eye. Geeze!

Other than that I am stuck with it long term but should stabilize or get better.

Thomaston, CT

Sounds like good news for you both...hang in there, Sherrie, it's not as bad as it could be!

Thanks all... and now I have to take stupid vitiamns and put a hot compress on my eye. For life or months or weeks or not at all? oh and eye drops.

This should be taken care of with diet as far as I am concerned.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

glad you got an answer Sherrie.. hope you feel better now!!

Thanks Allison - I will make it, one way or the other.

South Hamilton, MA

My Dr. taught me a good system for eye drops. Lay the end of bottle on the bridge of your nose & slowly squeeze. With your head elevated back, of course.

Parts of Times Sq are evacuated again.

Wish my nephew would move out of NYC.

I couldnt live there, it would drive me nutz.

I posted this over in the comp thread but maybe someone here will know.
I take a pic with the camera in the house with lights on and the pic looks sorta dark. I go out in the sun and take a pic and its ok. I take a pic out in the sun and with the flash and the picture looks really good. The camera was bought in 2004 and has the original battery.

Is it the camera or can the Kodak rechargeable battery be going bad?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Is it on Auto??

Yes, digital also. Here is a pic I just took. With flash inside the house.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

YIKES!!!! Well, they want me to work in the clerk's office, even though I'm trained as an enumerator, so maybe I'm okay. Thanks for all the scares, Victor! NOT!

I was trying to find the ingredients of Taylor ham(pork roll) and found this

http://www.porkrollxpress.com/

hmmmm, ya think they ate too much of it?

btw can't find the ingredients, supposedly it's a trade secret.

I beleive its a law that "ANY" business/restaurant is to tell you what is in the product and/or reciepe as people can have allergic reactions. They have to tell you what is, not the amount.

Like some things you buy in the box will have INGREDIENTS: Chicken and a blend of spices, bla bla bla People have a right to know what all the spices are.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

funny they don't list them online Jen... guess you will have to pick up a box or email them

"please contact the manufacturer for the information about the ingredients"

http://www.jerseyporkroll.com/nutritionalinformationtaylorporkroll.htm

I do know it's not good for you... but boy is it good!!!!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I love Taylor Pork Roll, but it has to be very well done.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yes I like that well done... almost as much as my hot dogs!!!

Thomaston, CT

I have never heard of it! And after seeing that canine film, I should let Robs work for the police....he would love that.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it's a NJ thing Robin... they don't deliver the product where it will spoil in transit.. might not make it up as far as you are

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Pork Roll...YES!...... (aka Taylor Ham)
Scrapple...NO!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

don't say that around my dad Weeze

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Ewww Scrapple
Quote from a msnbc article
Unlike Taylor Ham, fans of this breakfast meat know the ingredients — and still buy it. It is a mixture of flour, cornmeal, and pork scraps — such as the head, heart or liver — that's cut into slices and pan fried.

Did ya notice DG will be down for 2 hours tonight?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow, have you seen the video of that teacher beating on the 13 yr-old kid??!! Crazy.

Thomaston, CT

No....sad when someone loses it, no matter to whom. Saw in today's paper there is a painted bunting in CT...the only one I've ever seen was in FL....a real rainbow bird.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

C'mon ladies, you're not doing your part!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

oooh, Marilyn, I hope you get to see the painted bunting! I've never seen one and have always wanted to! We had indigo buntings at our house in Conn., but it would be so exciting to see a painted bunting! Keep your eyes open!!

Thomaston, CT

I will! My neighbor across the road has 2 indigos at his feeder.....my feeder zip. Forgot the most exciting thing that happened to me today....I was taking the girls home on Route 8 north, got to the town just above ours, & a bear ran across the highway in front of me.....I was amazed, he really ran fast....probably only about 200 pounds, he sort of looked like a newf.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)
