Naughty baby stole your name.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

but you are the original!!!

Thomaston, CT

Saw the top 10 baby names today in the paper....most of the girls' are the old-fashioned ones that my aunts and grandmothers were named. Boys' names are biblical. When we were searching for a name, it had to be one that didn't connect to one of our students, so the choices were few!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I think Harper Lee was first!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Yup, Harper Lee was the first. If not, she's certainly before me.

I can see how that would be difficult, Marilyn!

Thomaston, CT

It was hard....we never decided on a girl's name, luckily we had Garret.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Heard a woman reported describing the Times Sq. explosive device as resembling an 'IUD', instead of an 'IED'!! Oops.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

HA HA HA HA HA! ROTFL!!! Oops indeed!! Of course, exploding IUDs can have devastating consequences as well!! LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

True!

Get this one - was on the news:
2 men, both from the same city in NH, both driving Ford Explorers, Hit head on, both had leg injuries and both were arrested, as both were Drunk!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sounds like destiny

My 1st thought was who is going to sue who?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I remember watching them with my Dad :)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I also think I saw this a few years ago.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sounds like it was one guy who drove into a mirror.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not sure which is more of a yo-yo, the weather or the stock market.

Thomaston, CT

Both are bad. Have another appt with financial advisor....don't like those much.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

marilyn first question to ask after any recommendations provided is what is the fa's commission - beware of those folks most do not know what they are doing.

Thomaston, CT

I've been with this company since age 22, so I trust them....the appt. is routine.

Dr's appt tomorrow. The stupid eye is acting up again. Sometimes I wish they would just rip it out an put in a freaking glass one.

South Hamilton, MA

I have an eye DR. app. as well. However this is finishing up & checking after cataracht op. However it means that I stay home & DH flies to Denver for a funeral. Trying to write everything down about cell phones, meeting places for DD & DH. Plus it's supposed to rain on Wed, messing up the garden.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

feel better Sherrie & Iris

thoughts & prayers to you Jen in the day of your loss :)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I think I need an eye doctor. Can't see close up anymore.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Common problem for overse*ed people, Harp. I lost it years ago. ^_^

South Hamilton, MA

Glasses adjustment?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

that is old age harper - happened to me a couple years ago

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Glass eye, Sherrie??? Don't know if that would be better.

I have just the opposite problem I can't see far, have worn glasses since I was 16.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Duh - that's what I have - can't see distance. Had glasses for that since 23. Close-up problem is a sign of AGE!!! Hee hee. ^_^

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

There's another sign of old age Victor, forgetfulness!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Ditto. Eye Doc has confirmed. Have the tippy head bifocals now.

South Hamilton, MA

I wear progressives, although since operation 5 yrs ago can read without them. I do need them for phone books etc, but not normal reading.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!

Thomaston, CT

Hope things get better, Sherrie & Iris. Have been wearing lenses since age 19...before that, glasses, which I hated! But even with lenses, some print is impossible, like the telephone directory.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)
