Happy May--My standard dwarf irises are blooming. Hot weather alternating with rain doesn't help enjoyment, however.

Good Grief - the stuff I find at auctions

OH NO, Sorry D-Nut!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

So sorry D-nut :(

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sorry.. terrible stuff

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cool chair! I prefer stiletto heals, though.

Sorry Dnut sont need snow now.. I hate that chair. As far as shoes none will do.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I would have bought that chair in a minute when I was in high school.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Reminds me of that great Odd Couple episode when Felix redecorated with all modern furnishings. There were two large black hands as chairs!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Don't care for the chair either but someone is going to love it I'm sure!

Dnut the "S" word in May really stinks...you don't have your Dahlias in yet do ya!?

I have a literal pain in my butt that won't go away...it's been a few weeks now and it's not getting better, I'm not a doctor person so I don't go for things I can handle myself...I think it's a over worked muscle that is inflamed from yard work and the gym and a bit stress related...I am having a hard time letting it heal...I can't just lay around. The pain is getting pretty bad though...#!!# don't want to see a doc...Absolutely gorgeous toady and I only got one planter done.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ice it and try nsaid's, like Advil, etc.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Thanks all. Dahlias are still snug as bugs in the greenhouse luvs. I told the dahlias and the seedlings that 'the white stuff' was like dandelion fluff: prettiful to look at but dangerous when lands in the spring. I think my bulbous things will sprong back as most are just bent, not broke so all well's that ends well ^_^

How cool is this? Just received my Deer Resistant Plants order from Fedex. After putting the box in the garage I walk out to get my son off the bus. A few steps down the driveway, I check the Fedex app on my iPhone and it already confirms delivery! Literally, just seconds.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Those guys are gooooood.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Bill your purple balloons ... I planted a few in the yard that I didn't check for yet.. but I kept one in the greenhouse since they were so tiny... and it lives.. sticking up 3 or 4 inches already!!!!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I like the chair, had wanted to use one in the past for photos.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

allison - glad one made it - they others should too.

Thomaston, CT

Scattered frost predicted here early next week....glad I didn't plant the dahlias in the basement....they are about 3' tall....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the ones I put in the garden I didn't mark.. so not sure which ones are yours and which are mine... soon find out

:)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

You are a smartie RD.

Thomaston, CT

Sometimes! Sometimes just too impulsive! I have many iris budded....they are NOT going to like frost.

Another jerk....where do they find them?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Well I started my DG spring cleaning today. I got through 92 threads that were sitting in my DG home page from when I wasn't on alot. Now to clean up the Forums. I know you will be shocked but I have managed to floozy onto 30 Forums :O I'm sure I NEED to watch them all but I will review them to be sure.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

How long did it take you, Dnut?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

over 3 hours. I couldn't just skip to new because some were so old I couldn't remember everything on them so I had to read every thread all over again.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Wow! I would've spent all week on 92 threads!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

me too... would make me dizzy(er)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Holey moley, 92 threads??!!!!

We did that?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

So there is a 'hung parliament' in Britain. I thought they allowed women to participate!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I KNOW. It was boggling. Some threads weren't very long though.

edit later: Well I have reviewed my Forums and I definitely NEED to watch 27 of them. 3 of them I mostly only follow one thread so they didn't have to be marked although now I think I'm going to miss something REALLY important so I will probably watch them again soon.

Now it's lunch time: Where IS everyone? O don't tell me, you're out in your garden in your shorts.

European soccer fans traveling to Africa may bring increased levels of HIV-positive infections back to their respective countries when they return home after the games.

Frightening.
