ROFL Jim lets hope that never happens, and as long as you can dig and plant it won't!

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

We got Cherries!!! Even though we had snow, the cherries made it.

Now lets see if we can get any before the birds get them all :(

And here is that baby geranium that I grew from seed. Its not such a baby anymore.
But it sure took long enough to grow. I have 2 more that came up and are as tiny as this one was when I posted this ones first picture.

nice, Kassy! how long did the geranium take?

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Thanks Lynn.
I wish I had written down when I started it. I started it plenty early, but it sure took a long time to get that big. It's now planted in a planter outside getting use to the outdoors and wind before we put it into the direct sun.

Here is the Blue Eyed Grass that came up last year. And I have now found 5 or 6 smaller ones that just came up there year. All are but one are in the same area.

Kassy, your raspberry swirl is very pretty. I like your Blue Eyed Grass also. Good job on growing your geraniums from seeds!

Delhi, LA

I love the rasberry swirl and the blue eyed grass. The geranius is looking fantastic. I found a man in our area that raises cherries. I had no idea they would do good down here. He is saving me a couple of sprouts to transplant this fall.

I am glad you are finally getting some warm weather.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Well try to keep them from the birds Jim

This is the first year that tree has had that many cherries on it. It was beautiful when it was in bloom.

Last year it had only a couple, and they were gone in no time at all.
We have some small plants coming up around the tree, and from the looks of them, they kind of look like the leaves of the cherry tree.
I have to see if I got a good picture of them and try to get it ID'ed.

Delhi, LA

I had just always assumed that cherries were for cooler climes than ours. The guy has probably 20 trees and invited me down to pick some to make jelly with. He also has a bunch of mayhaws. We got a gallon of them and Jo made jelly. Another friend gave me three different varieties of muskedines. They are growing good and even have a few berries on them. My grape vines are loaded, again. Last year was the first time we'd been in our home to pick and put up jelly. It was really good.

(Zone 5b)

that blue eyed grass is very pretty too!
we had temps of 100 degrees yesterday, way too hot for May. I had a lot of yard work to do, anyway. My mock orange bloomed a month ahead (never saw it bloom with the iris) .
Then we had wild thunderstorms.
How are you doing Jim? Now you got me thinking about growing cherries! lol

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Lynnie, 100 degrees? And where do you live?

(Zone 5b)

MA Venice lol

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Lynnie, what zone are you in?

(Zone 5b)

same as you Venice, 5B but it was over 100 degrees yesterday. Crazy.

Delhi, LA

Your weather was crazy, Lynnie. Our highest has been 95 so far.

I'm doing great. Feel good. Lost my pot belly since all the yard work and gardening started. Jo has even had me walking a couple of miles every day. Think I'll live to be 69. That's in July.

Yard has been really pretty this spring and the Day Lilies have just started blooming. I have the best veggie garden I've ever raised. Looks like we won't starve.

Love you guys.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi ya Jim,
Glad to hear all is well and veggies are doing good.
Better get me a bigger garden cuz still got my potbelly. LOL

Take care

(Zone 5b)

the high temp for the area was recorded at 108! Ack! Today is 30 degrees cooler. I ran around watering stuff like a nut yesterday. And weeding. And taking water breaks. During the thunderstorm we got hail. It was nuts.
ok Jim pictures??

Delhi, LA

Is Kassy having a baby or is it a grand?

Thanks gang, glad you enjoyed the pics. I can't believe my tomatoes this year.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

It's her first grand Jim. Due about the second week of June I think.
I am getting my 3rd grand about the same time.

Delhi, LA

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Delhi, LA

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

JJ, just found out the other day that they will probably be taking the baby early.
Dr figures she is 7 or 8 pounds already and doesn't think DIL will be able to deliver one that big normally.
She is just hoping for after the 7th, as he mom will be coming in from Florida on the 7th.
It wouldn't be due until the 16th.

Jim, NOT ME! LOL Bite your tongue! LOL

Delhi, LA

Miracles still happen Kassy.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Make it the 10th thats when mine is coming .( C section).
We can remind each other its Birthday time. LOL
I had one that was 8 pounds but I am not what you would call petite or small.
Maybe not even medium. lol Hope all goes well.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Jim, that would not be a Miracle. I think it would be more like a nightmare! :p

JJ, my DIL laughed when I told her to make it on the 10th. LOL
She said we will see what the Dr says at the next visit. Dr. mentioned a C section to her, because I guess she has a smaller pelvic bone, so the Dr is a little worried about that when it comes to the size of the baby.
She has also been rataining a lot of water and the Dr. is not happy about that either. She is pretty much on a low sodium diet for now.

Hey Jim, here is a picture that I took of our cherry blossoms when the tree was all in bloom ^_^

That tree is beautiful. Remember I make the best cherry pit pie around. LOL
You guys have a wonderful holiday and stay safe.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Cool, two babies on same day, Congratulations to the Gypsie Granny's!!! JJ I want that pie receipe, cherry pie is my favorite! Worried about my blueberrys, lost two bushes this year and only one left, think it takes at least two to produce. Hi Jim, don't see any cantelope plants yet LOL

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Flowers, cherry pie is my favorite too ^_^
Now if we can just beat the birds to them when they start to ripen.

Delhi, LA

The blossoms would be worth having the tree, cherries or not. Love it Kassy.

On cantalope picture coming up.
