sorry Sherrie
Bummer, Sherrie.
The news just said chance of snow tonight. I hope they meant a little further north.
39 now going to 57.. showers later
41, breezy and clear. Brrrr. Will be a cool hike. Well into the 80's on Sat. Duh.
cold here and i think i saw some frost on the roof this morning
44°, windchill 29°, wind WNW 15mph, sunny
crazy weather
41° & grey.
Isn't that depressing! Hope it melts soon and leaves no damage behind.
A touch of very light patchy frost here this am. Went down to just below freezing for a short time. Only good thing there is a good breeze to move the air around. No sign of any damage obvious right now. Hope no little black tips appear and the hydrangea buds will still bloom. Temp way up to 41 degrees but the stiff wind makes it feel much colder still. Sun started the day but clouds are winning again. Chance of showers later. Warmer temps and sun still predicted for the rest of the week.
Sorry Sherrie! At least it won't last long!!
WooHooo!! We're back home safe and sound, but what happened to that sunny Spring weather we brought up here with us??!!! Snow on April 28th???? Well, I did miss the snow, so this must be just for me....right? LOL The girls are having fun seeing their first snowflakes falling, along with the giant turkeys that just crossed the patio in front of our door.... No time for catching up chatting right now.......back soon!
Louise
PS...Celeste - I dreamed about you last night.....LOL
Happy Homecoming, Louise! A new place for the girls to explore. Weather here is not nice, but no snow....40s & very windy....am going to lunch with my cousins.
welcome home louise!!
Welcome home! So that is the reason for the late winter weather again. Hope the girls enjoy it, at least somebody should. Spring should be back by tomorrow. Enjoy.
Welcome Home Louise! Hope it was a good dream!! Got my dress for Tarsha's Wedding, this one .....under"swatches" it's Coneflower Blue.

Welcome back, Louise and Hank!
Bizarre weather today. Was quite chilly on the hike this AM. Changeable is the best term. Blustery, brief rain showers, and very windy. Weird.
same weather here - need to make sure i lug up some fire wood for tonight.
Thank you guys for the nice welcome home!!! It is soooooo good to be back where my spirit gets restored by the woods and the spring green and the flowers and the critters and the people. Yes, Pat and Sherrie, I think we must have packed it up unknowingly! Celeste - I can't recall what the dream was about, but we were both smiling. LOL That dress is stunning and I love the color - one of my most favorite colors, in fact!. Marilyn - so glad to hear you are getting out and staying busy. Still thinking about you a lot!! Bill - remember that beautiful pink stone you carried out of the woods for me? It gave the friendship garden a real WOW factor when I first walked into the back yard. I also noticed that your raffle prize stone was still buried but visible! LOL Victor - when we passed the diner, we thought about you and wished we'd thought to set up another meeting. I realized that Sunday is probably not the best day for you to take such a drive though. Next time, I hope!
The snow has stopped and it is now just cold and raw and drizzly. A good day to work inside to get things back in order. I'll check back in later......stay warm and cozy everyone!
No problem, Louise. We'll meet up again. Would not have been able to make it Sunday anyway. Ugh - snow!
Blustery is a great word, Victor. It kinda just chills to the bone.
A great big WELCOME HOME, Louise, Hank, and girls. What a spectacle for them. Glad they got the opportunity to see it, now then, onward with spring!!
Welcome home, Louise!!!
welcome home!!!
Thanks, Louise. Took the dogs for a walk & wish I had worn gloves....had to put the hood up on my hoodie.
Rain no garden work today.
Great shot, Patti!
Sounds like a good place for a 'wind farm' Patti! Nice rainbow!
Looks like Ol' Smokey's got a nice little watering hole Victor!
54°, partly cloudy
Victor - beautiful shot from your hike!
Jan, Jen & Allison - thanks so much for the nice warm welcome!
Lucy - hope you enjoy your day off from the garden! I'm really itching to get out there and shape things up!
Marilyn - When we walked yesterday along the pond here I told Hank that it seemed odd not to have to wear a winter jacket and gloves for our first walk. Oops! Guess Mother Nature showed me!!! I'll have to find my gloves for tomorrow. It's going to be 30 degrees in the a.m.
Patti - liked your thought about Nature's "color coordination"! LOL That's a very pretty rainbow shot! And yes, Bailey and Carli are thoroughly enjoying life wherever they go! They roll with the punches very well. We were actually surprised that they slept quietly all night everywhere we went, and I think I'd attribute it to their having each other. My son's dog, Donnie (my DG namesake) was so good with both of them. We went back to Conn. on Tuesday and the 3 dogs were such fun together. Donnie related very well to both of them and he seemed to enjoy teaching them the ropes.
Happy almost Spring to you all!
Louise
aaaaaaaawwwwww the happy family!!!
45 and clear as a bell. And hardly any wind! Great day ahead. I'll be taking down the dead JM with a friend.
