Survived the tornado warnings last night. No touch downs here, possible one to the west of us . SIL lost power last night. Cats weren't happy about spending time in the basement(normally not allowed down there).
Today 50 and very windy.

South Hamilton, MA

Rain here thunder a couple of times early morning & later this morning. Sorry to lose time in the garden as yesterday was a loss, due to a death in the family & having to cordinate flight arrangements with DH & our daughter to CO. Did have a chance to look over part of the garden, but not do anything.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

been raining here off and on all day, sometimes down pours. It's an inside baking day.^_^

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Rain missed us, but the WIND - WOW! I wonder if I held some fabric across my back I could fly?

What about a turbo broom also?

Thomaston, CT

So windy I couldn't work outside.....too much stuff flying around, getting into my eyes.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Tree fell down on a line 2 roads over from us. Got to see a transformer fire on the way home from church

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

52*F still windy. Had a fair rain Friday night. Holly didn't want me to move the flats from the garage this AM. She was afraid they would blow away. Ric

Thomaston, CT

Still windy here....kept me awake half the night...also very cold! Do not like this spring weather, I want to go back to the 70s we had.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Windy ...mixed with rain here and there, 48* and very raw!

Maine, United States(Zone 5b)

It's been gusty three of the last four days (the non windy day was the rainy one), and it's starting to make me stir crazy. I can't stand to watch the plants get thrashed around, and it's just too annoying to even try and work out there when it's windy. The neighbors pretty tree blew down, too.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I know, it's been terrible....no gardening here :(

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh man!!! I got so caught up in my son's visit that I didn't realize that the wind chill would get to my coleus, even though I had them and all the impatiens, tomatoes and other annuals tucked up next to the wall of the house on our front porch. When my son left, I noticed that the coleus are all limp from the wind and cold. Two were brand new big plants and the rest were small pieces I brought back from Fla. I hate to lose plants because of my own negligence! Everything else has been brought in because tonight it will be in the 20s with very cold wind chill. The next three nights will be frigid as well. On the bright side, Mother's Day was very nice and my son's dog, Donnie, and our two little ones had a ball together. I hope all the other Moms had a great day too!

Thomaston, CT

Glad you enjoyed your day, Louise....hopefully the coleus will revive! I'm so glad I haven't planted anything too tender.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Me too, Marilyn. I hope the heat in the house will bring back the coleus, but it doesn't look good so far.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sorry to hear, Louise. Ludicrous weather this spring. Might have to bring some plants back in too. Glad I did not plant the new JM's yet. Aside form the mechanical stress of the high wind, the transpiration rate soars in these conditions.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Crazy, crazy wind. I have more tree branches down. Small ones this time, thank goodness.
Hope your tenders make a comeback Louise!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Feels like early March out there. Very raw and mostly cloudy now. 47 and still windy.
