Nice shots of the White-throated Sparrow and Red-winged Blackbird!
Bird Watching Daily Pics Vol. 312
Thanks, Rose, Lily and Pelle. I much preferred it when the trees weren't leaved out. Now, it's difficult to get some good shots.
But I ordered 2 of those pole feeder hanger thingees and plan to hang some of my feeders out in the sunshine, away from the shade. Each pole will hang 4 feeders.
Oh, and Lily, I don't know, technically, if a bird you saw for the first time, but didn't snap a pic of, counts or not as a Lifer. For me, I'd want a pic for the memory of the experience, but I think I'd still count it as a Lifer.
Burd_Fotos - Bummer - Field Sparrow that got deleted. However, your pic (400mm) of the White-throated Sparrow is super! But your 1st one is really nice, too.

Burd_Fotos - The 400mm with the 1.4 converter did a good job. Did you have to use manual focus or did auto focus work with the 1.4?

Wonderful shots Burd! Love the Great Blue Heron! Congrats on seeing the Towhee in your yard!
Congrats to all the new lifers!
great job on the towhee Burd! I was out walking sans camera saturday and I came upon a pair of towhees together and very close. I was dying that I had no camera to get the shot!
The Pileated came by both days over the weekend but decided to come around 8-8:30pm. With the rain it was to dark for photos.
But I did have a very short visit from a female Hairy Woodpecker on saturday!
Cute ones nanny! Thanks to everyone for such an enjoyable thread!
