I agree tishrh, I love that blue iris alot and the cross vines.

Me too, unfortunately, I just do not have room for alot of outside plants and being in zone 5 most have to be in pots. But I love looking at pictures.

Red Oak, TX

Joeswife, that is pretty amazing that you kept that plant for 30 years!
Quite a few plants in my Hoop House were originally house plants that outgrew my ceiling height. This Queen Palm was one, but it has outgrown the hoop house. Here is a picture of it already about 2 ft above the frame bars.

Tishrh, I would be interested in knowing what plant you decided on for the focal point in your new project, better yet, will you please show us a picture?

I'm sure one of you guys will know what this vine is- The vine is rather large for these fluffly little blooms. I planted the vine in the ground before spring next to the deck. The vine was potted and spent the winter outside, so it must be somewhat tolerant to cold.

Christi, did ya know these rootbeer plants ya gave me can travel? Wow, they are popping up yards away from the original location, and lots of them. I'm just letting them do their thing.

My YTT Brunfelsia is finally blooming too YAY!!

My Americana got zapped this winter, and I nearly pulled it out of the pot, but decided to leave all potted plants alone, and it's turning out to be a good decision, as it is coming back.
I was over at Zone9tropicals this weekend, and he has several YTT stock plants that were in bloom. His variety is different than mine though, the blooms are much bigger and they bloom more than once a year. I have it all planned out...his green house is so full, I will accidentally dislodge a large branch, apologize profusely and in being a good Samaritan, will offer to clean up and dispose of the broken appendages ....! lol

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Watch the rootbeer or it will take over. Travels by roots. I can't figure out the photo thing on this macbook. yuck

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Now ya tell me Princess! LOL, I'm watching them travel alright!

It's drizzling out today! Taken from the kitchen window

RJ I think your red fuzzy plant is a chenille plant. The fern tree is looking good. Aren't you glad that things are finally starting to take off. I am pretty tired of looking at empty space in my flower beds. I have never seen that vine with the white flowers. Very unique looking flower. Will be interested in knowing the name too.

Rita your vines are so pretty. I love that pink honeysuckle vine. Mine never would do well. It kept getting mildew and finally croaked. I will pull the dombeya wallichi out of the ground today if you will come down and go shopping with me. Let me get Craig home and get out of school for the summer and then you will need to start working on Ken to schedule a fishing trip so we can hit the nurseries in and around the area.

My YTT is blooming too; this is the prettiest I've seen it.

Metro, your "students" look quite content in their "classroom". I find that dogs are the best kind of gardening companion!!!!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

That's right. Yes glad things are greening up...filling up too.
